My opinion on xm after 3 month of use
+ superb display,(thanks to bravia engine)
+ smooth touchscreen and fast processing(it have good processor)
+ fine music quality
+ best for internet (i use edge)
+ gud battery backup for this specification(charge only when battery level goes down 4%)
+ medium camera quality(for best result use Hdr)
+ stylish interface
- poor rear speaker sound
- Only 3inch display(good for internet bad for texting)
- Hd sucks
- 1min for startup(i dnt knw itz bad or gud
- heating issues(rarely it goes upto 45c)
- Cant control ambient light sensor
Over all itz a value for money phone(before calibration my phone was handicapped monster,nw it rockzzzzz) siddant bro is right

Iridescence, 23 Dec 2011Comparing Samsung Galaxy y, galaxy ace, galaxy mini, sony ericsson xperia mini, LG Optimus NET... moreI'll be honest with you guys. I have had this phone for about 3 months now. Before this I used a N5800. I never used internet in that, or anything. So when I bought this phone, I did not think the small screen size would bother me. But unfortunately, it is a little tiresome to zoom in and out of web pages, and it is kinda hard to click links. So when my friend offered me 10K INR for my phone, I thought of it as a good deal, and decided to upgrade. I went to the store, and tested all phones. Here are my conclusions:
Galaxy S2: I know people call this phone the king of phones, but honestly, I felt it was just bearable. The 30K INR price tag made me laugh. The UI was smooth, and the screen was crystal clear, but the Samsung TouchWiz is absolute crap compared to the mini's UI. Also, my mini feels way better when navigating through menu screens. I don't game much, so I don't care about how well your phone runs games. If I don't like the feel of a phone costing almost 3 times as much, well then, no thank you.
Also, the build quality is sooooooo poor. Its like the old star 5233. Seriously!?! And the so called super amoled + looks like something out of a really bright comic book. The colours are not 'almost unnatural', they are very unnatural. Not nice at all. And did I mention that the accelerometer stopped functioning on the demo piece while I was using it??
2) Galaxy Note: When I first saw this one, I mistook it for a diary- you know, like the one businessmen carried around in their pockets years ago to check meetings, and agendas, etc. When I saw the screen I freaked. It was huge, and the colours were also oversaturated and unnatural, like the s2. Believe it or not, this phone was actually it little laggy when I tried to swipe through homescreens- My xperia mini feels much faster and smoother in comparison to a phone with a 1.4Ghz dual core processor- good work sammy! You managed to neuter your heavyweight champion. Oh, and the build quality was again horrible.
3) Xperia Neo: The screen was quite like the xperia mini- but was much clearer due to the high res screen. The colours were quite dull though. The camera was much better than the mini, with text appearing almost crystal clear-very comfortable to hold. But the body was kind of cheap glossy plastic. Not as bad as the galaxy S2, but still not cool. Also, the demo piece was pretty badly scratched. The stainless steel sides helped though.
The neo was quite a bit slow comapared to the mini, but this is probably because of the screen. Also, this did not have the playful UI animations (the jelly widgets, the zoomed out widgets on pinching, etc)
4) Galaxy Y: This was just for kicks. I picked this up, and felt like someone torturing my eyes- the build was bad, the screen was unbearably pixelated, and the colours were probably worse than my old 5800. Still, it was less laggy, compared to one of my friends galaxy mini (also called pop).
I have used an HTC Wildfire S, and while I like the functionality of the Sense, and the nice build quality you don't want to live with 30MB of internal memory. Also, a 600Mhz old gen qualcomm proccy vs the 8255- no competition. Also, the display quality is pretty poor compared to the SE mini. The Ace also has a similar story-low quality proccy, low everything, only a bigger and worse quality screen.
And in the end, I would trust Sony Ericsson over any of these other companies. I find that my Mini is comparable to, and even better than all the so called dual-core high end phones, when it comes to being used on a day to day basis. Maybe my phone can't run a high end 3D game, but I don't like gaming on my phone- atleast not after seeing BF3 on my PC. I have compared the mini to the most expensive droids, and I honestly didn't like them-not in comparison to my mini. So please stop asking questions like is the wildfire or explorer better or whatever-in this price range- the mini destroys everything.
And for those who have not read my earlier posts, I do not have the capacitive button problem. I have tried everything to overheat my phone, but to no avail. I could get it to heat up once, the buttons on the front got really hot, but no such problem occured.
The mini has only one con-the smaller screen- which is unfortunately necessary to keep it running smooth. Also, in this price range, 3" is the average. If you want a droid, go for the mini. No one has claimed that their phone did not get fixed after calibration. Maybe you won't face the problem, maybe you will. But I would go for the mini over and over if I had the choice, and get my phone calibrated if I had the problem.
For those skeptics out there, no I am not lying. My posts date back to September, so either I'm saying the truth, or I'm some sort of crazy person who has been lying for months, and am in definite need of psychiatric help.
For any other queries, please don't hesitate to ask.
Can anyone please tell how to calibrate the phone, I am having little problems in the 'menu' and 'back' touch panels..??
Its a nice phone. very nice. Its fast.Clarity is good. The screen size may make you worry a little, rest its awesome!!
Comparing Samsung Galaxy y, galaxy ace, galaxy mini, sony ericsson xperia mini, LG Optimus NET, HTC wildfire s and HTC explorer:
Galaxy Y, which has got more than 93% of daily interest in gsmarena, is a low graded android phone with only 290 MB RAM, 2MP camera, low resolution display(240x320), no adobe flash support and poor battery.
Galaxy ace - Only 278MB user available RAM, better dislpay(320x480), no flash support, average camera performance and poor codec support.
Galaxy mini - Low screen resolution(240x320), poor build quality, average camera and poor video recording, no adobe flash support.
Xperia mini - good display(320x480) but small screen size results difficulty in texting, OVERHEATING PROBLEMS, good camera, flash support, users Xperiancing lot of complaints. My suggession dont go for it.
Optimus Net - Ugly looks, poor UI, 512MB RAM and 800Mhz processor, hangs ocassionally, good camera and display(320x480).
HTC Wildfire S - Sense UI, cute looks, superb build quality, gorilla glass, 418MB user available RAM, good display(320x480), Ultra fast boot times, only flash lite support, average camera and video quality. NO other problems or complaints.
HTC explorer - Sense UI v3.5, excellent build quality, 408MB RAM, Adobe flash support, good 3MP camera, good display(320x480), good sound quality with SRS enhancement and 5.1 surround, only 90 MB internal storage.no complaints reported.
My current phone is the HTC explorer and trust me android with htc sense 3.5 is awesome.its a nice piece of cake.
The galaxies are built with cheap quality plastics and the xperia mini is troublesome.optimus net got high configuration on paper but sometimes it hangs and will crash while multi tasking.HTC got their reputaion in build quality and the amazing sense UI v3.5 so, My suggession is to go for either wildfire s(if you want more internal storage) or explorer(if you want to explore the sense 3.5 and flash support).
wtf, this phone shudn't been released. what a mess to many bugs on it. dont buy this phone anymore. waste money. better cancel this stupid phone.
