Xperia mini has no front cam even in New Bravia engine version....confirmed...no video calling.....verified..instead take mini pro if u want video calling...
I bought this moments and Im experiencing the capacitive button issues and whenever Im scrolling to web pages the menu button act by itself really annoying and the keypad type characters by themselves. So dissappointing SE.
I have bought the Xperia Mini last week and I am happy with it. I haven't faced the capacitive button problem till now. But I think the phone heats up a little while using internet during charging. I think the phone is good VFM considering that the closest competitor Galaxy Ace has a slower CPU, inferior GPU, lesser memory, pathetic video recording etc. The things on the Ace's favour are bigger screen and battery but the smaller screen on the Mini makes it more compact.
Hope my phone won't let me down. :)
Sanjeev, 10 Oct 2011Hi siddhant , Do you own this phone or you just posting your comments without using much and ... moreIf you took the trouble to search for my other posts, you would see that they go back about a month, when I bought the phone. I have repeatedly stated that I do not have the problem, and continue to state the same: because its true. I don't have any problem with my mini. And how exactly would I know how the phone looks, feels, how much ram it has free, etc if I don't actually have the phone.
Update from SE on touch screen issue:-
The problem with the capacitive touch buttons reacting the way you describe has been investigated and we can confirm that there is a fix in place which would need to be performed at an authorised service location from this week onwards.
This fix has only been implemented this week so in order to ensure that this has been put in place at the service location in your region, I’d suggest contacting your local support team. You can find a list of contact details here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/corporate/common/contact/phonelist
Here is the Sony Ericsson Answer Team's response regarding capacitive buttons problems

5) the bui... moreHi siddhant ,
Do you own this phone or you just posting your comments without using much and just for fun,
Please dont mislead anyone here
Its a VFM fone if it works correctly which it isn't .I used this fone for 1 week and got frustated with the issues posted of automatically tapping of back and menu touchkeys.
I purchased this from flipkart and its their generousity that they are replacing the piece with the new one but i worried that the new piece would have the same problem as this is manufacture defect from SE. I didn't expect this from sony but. :(

nkk, 08 Oct 2011hi guys help me out tell me a good android phone with budget 13000 to 14000............tell me... morei think ace is a better option... xperia has got some serious hardware complaint and thats the only thing that goes its market down.. coming to ace has a better battery life proper apps are used to optimise power consumtion..
Last month i have purchased SE xperia mini for 13k..My phone stary giving problem from 1 week i visited SE service center after 10 days they update my software acc to them (Prob i am facing time i received call key board appears not able to pick call as slider is not working) after 1 week after instalation of games the time i open any application page or setting page it automatical comes back also fon started vibrating on hand agian went to service center they again update it but than i checked my phon in the service center with using net and adding applications my phon is still vibrating and automaticaly comes back when i open anything. Finaly they accpeted some hardware problem and sent my set back to company but still waiting for approval certificate by showing that i am going to get new handset from shop i purchsed earlier...And on second visit to service center their were 5 people sitting with same handset with same or other problems.
1). Now i want ot ask is it possible when i get approval for new set that i can ask shopkeeper to give some other hanset of samsung or htc as i am ready to spend some more money. Is it possible or not?
2). If they are agree earlier i am looking for Samsung Ace or Wildfire S which one i buy the reason why i choose this set at 13k i am getting 1gh processor with 5mp HD recording and 2.3.3 android. Or u can suggest me something else ready to spend 4k more....

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2011hi guys!!! I'm using this since one week.... and every day I discover one or the other interes... moreI don't get the concept of a spare battery. How do you charge the spare battery. Do you remove an already charged battery from your phone, put in the uncharged spare in it, let it charge, and keep the other charged one in your pocket? And every night you repeat this procedure, literally ruining your back cover and doubling your recharge time? Also, isn't the spare battery kinda expensive?
nkk, 08 Oct 2011hi guys help me out tell me a good android phone with budget 13000 to 14000............tell me... moreMini. Hands down. The only con about this phone is the small screen. But I have used the ace and can assure that the mini's screen is much, much better than the ace's screen. The blacks almost rival that of amoled. This phone has a processor twice as fast as the ace, and a GPU 2-3 times better. No lag in doing anything: I get a score grater than 1500 in quadrant. And I don't have any heating, button malfunctioning, touchscreen not responding during calls problem. The best mobile I ever bought.
nkk, 08 Oct 2011hi guys help me out tell me a good android phone with budget 13000 to 14000............tell me... moreyou better choose xperia mini PRO.. the only issue on that phone is the background noise when recording video.. and you can easily escape that if you pick the new batches..
