@siddanth.......dude.....hav u experienced that screen vibrating problem yet.....or hav u tried to take it to an extent where the flickering problem arises?????
Gorgeous phone. Love it. BUT ........
Plagued with the usual SE software glitches. Handset #1 couldnt unlock screen intermittently (press power button to wake up but screen still black, or screen lights up but a side swipe wont wake it up)- returned to CPW.
Phone #2 constantly dropping signal. I counted up to 5 drops within 30 minutes while sat in my favourite chair. Each time off for about a minute. Also had problems with keyboard appearing on screen and blocking any access to the main screen below it.
If you google the phone under Xperia Mini you wont find any trace of problems. Try ST15i which is its model number you'll see its plagued by software issues.

AnonD-2956, 19 Sep 2011Have you seen both the screens i.e. defy & mini side by side. I mean what's the differenc... moreI have not seen the Defy's screen first hand, but one of my friends has, he said that the mini's screen has a lot deeper blacks and more vivid colours. The defy is a good choice if you can live with froyo, or root it, and install GB through cyanogenmod.

I mean what's the difference, leaving the Bravia Engine in mini which enhances pictures & videos.
TFT of Defy is bigger and also crisp due to much higher resolution.
Viewing angles are also better on Defy.

I was browsing the net and the mar... moreits not what the game you play nor program u are using cause it. it may be one of the defects of xperia mini. you may not be experiencing the malfunction right now. mine only used for 3 weeks. the other guy who has the same problem experienced it after couple of days only. check Sony Ericsson website discussion board. Approx there are 4 issues now posted there. I have already brought the unit to service center and still they cannot fix it. I have already emailed SE about this, still no response.

The Defy is indeed a very good phone, but how many people are willing to root their phone and void their warranty on such an expensive device? Also, the screen is much larger and has much better resolution, but quality-wise, the screen on the mini is much better (in terms of contrast, and colour). Also, the snapdragon chipset is much more powerful as compared to the TI OMAP in the Defy. Also, the SAR value in the defy is rather high (I am bothered by this, but most others are probably not). In this price range, the defy was my first choice, but the absence of future updates stopped me from buying it. I wanted a phone, which did not have to be rooted, and modded just to make it work day-to-day. That is why I chose the mini.
AnonD-8312, 18 Sep 2011The mini uses the Snapdragon 2nd Gen MSM8255 chipset, with a 1GHz CPU, and an Adreno 205 GPU. ... moreMotorola Defy is a good phone.
Defy has a much larger screen than Mini(3.7 Vs 3) with much higher resolution(480x854 Vs 320x480)
Its processor is underclocked(At 800Mhz) & can be easily Overclocked(to 1Ghz or even 1.2Ghz) without any problems.
Defy is more Durable than Mini, has larger Battery(1540mah), higher Internal memory 2GB opposed to 320MB of SE Mini.
Camera in Defy is 5MP though without 720p video capture, which not everyone care about.
Defy is also a small sized phone. Its smaller than most of the 3.2 inchers.
All this in not much higher price than mini(Mini:Rs.13200 Defy:Rs.14500 ).
The only question is do you like Motoblur & can live with Froyo or not.
One can wait for Defy+ but it will also cost more at launch(Atleast Rs.16000). It will bring Gingerbread, 1Ghz Processor, even larger battery(1700mah) & new Motoblur UI.
Mini is also a good phone but I think 3 inch Screen will not be sufficient for me.
