I know that a open WiFi n/w is can be easily used to get into any machine.
So I can't keep it open.

I've recently purchased an Xperia Neo V, and also... moreThanks for the reply
But it's impossible to keep my WiFi n/w open
There are a lot of WiFi users in my area
Keeping my n/w open means sharing it with all of them.
Actually some of my neighbors also ask me the password of WiFi so that they can use it for free.
I had no problem with that since I have unlimited plan
But soon my entire area started to use it and I myself was not able to use it.
Anyways thanks for the reply.
DM, 22 Feb 2012I perform such test almost everyday!!!
well chck this out ..this might help you
I've recently purchased an Xperia Neo V, and also faced the wifi dissconnection problem. I did some testing with my wifi router and my latpot as well, and now I think I have found the root of the problem. (Laptop was used to check whether the AP works stable or not.)
The phone is not able to handle properly the encrypted wifi networks. As soon as I disable encryption on the wifi AP (open wifi), the connection becomes rock solid. I was able to watch youtube video via wifi for an hour when encryption was disabled. But dissconnection happens in evry 2..5 minutes (visible in the routers DHCP log) when WPA enabled (tested in both WPA and WPA2). I had no time to test it in WEP mode.

gowth, 22 Feb 2012hi guyz m planing to get neo v can any tell does it have any problem like restarting ,over hea... morei used the phone but in two days somehow it broke down and i was not able to restart it. i ve been waıtıng for service results.
I own a SE Neo V and I am not quite sure whether my decision was right. There are some display related issues that really bug me a lot. Firstly, the brightness levels are so poor that even a very bright and vivid image or video appears very dull on the screen. Secondly, there is no way you can disable the auto brightness, because of which again there is very poor image or video reproduction. Thirdly, there are no options in the drop-down notification bar to enable/disable wifi, gprs, sound etc. So if you are watching a youtube video using GPRS and you want to switch to Wifi then you will have to go back to the home screen. In addition, its battery backup is below average, the RAM is fixed at 335 Mb, very poor outdoor visibility, timescape UI makes the phone very slow and it is a fingerprint magnet. Although the phone has a lot of positives such as the HDMI port, the built in Bravia engine(image/video quality enhancer), very good speaker quality etc, you simply can't disregard the above-mentioned flaws. Please be advised that these are my views and opinions may vary as the phone has different requirements to fulfil for every user.
I am going to buy Xperia neo V (please tell me users)
1.how was its battary backup
2.it was very heat? using internet
3.phone can be slow after apps installing?
4. and do you have eny other suggestions ?

n about internal memory I have installed about more than 25 apps n still have more than 225 MB left.so don't worry about that.
