This smartphone is fine with single core proccessor no lag for me and using 32GB card.I see alot of folk asking about ICS and i far as i know its just a cosmetic thing..If htc and samsung keep their front ends ICS will make no difference to the product..If anyone wants to comment on WHY they want ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich)then please do because i am interested..
I managed to get the battery to nearly zero yesterday but played 1 hour of games extra to try and kill it..I just leave 3g on all the time and leave wifi on.I have screen at full brightness and backlight time out set to 30 seconds..Strong battery.I had sgs2 but too big for me and that battery would have been dead after 6-7 hrs doing what i did yesterday whereas this did 16.5hrs.
my xperia pro shows only 195/220mb free ram. and after installing some apps it shows 120mb. bt in specification, it ha 512mb of ram. plz, explain it.
I wish SE will make a phn with Dual Core processor with a full qwerty key pad. will be epic...
planning to buy a phone.....galaxy r (sluggish ui,all plastic body, only 5 mpx camera),xperia pro (no video call, sonyrricsson going to change to sony) xperia ray (small screen, only photo light for camera) guys wat should i do...pls help me
Yep its agreat smartphone with good cam/video and battery life and Bravia Reallity display works good..I have got router problem sorted by updating firmware of router..
Had 3hrs podcasting ,twitter every half hour,10 mins calls 25 texts sent/recieved took 12 minutes of video and 6 photos and played 50 m ins of Angry Birds and been using it heavily and lasted about 16 hrs today..Really strong battery and i leave wifi on and have screen at full brightness..I was emailing a lot today because of selling something..It scares the life out of me when the low battery alert goes off its like a foghornfarty noise.
Now on 4th charge so i use allday and charge overnight ..Its should last someone up to three days with light use..Oh and the accuracy of pushing real buttons and getting that satisfying click and it registers is brilliant and how smartfones should be..Also the accuracy using the 4 arrows as a d-pad is brill and the Enter button to select means i can play tetris as i did with Nokia N-series smartphones.
I bought one and have been using this phone for more than a week. And all I can say is that this phone does the job well. I always keep wifi on the entire day, and it still has enough juice to before it runs out. The scratch-resistant glass is not so resistant, went inside my pocket and some change, it got scratched a little, good thing applying a plastic protective screen over it hides it pretty well.
which one is better..?? xperia neo or pro?? which one has the better battery life??
I am reading back through comments and find red-eye a mute point because it can be removed with any simple photo correction software.
I got good battery life off my first charge with 50 mins of video playback, twitter refresh every half hour,3hrs podcast playing,8 mins calls and 6 texts sent/recieved,45 apps downloaded over 3g plus setting up and sorting wifi problem it went after 14hrs 5 minutes.I would class what i did as heavy use and have done lots of battery tests in my life.I need to do another 6 charge/discharge cycles to get battery a bit more up to scratch.
Their are some settings in Android that are not as easily visble as the Symbian operating system ive used for years. This is my 10th Android smartphone. However the Xperia pro has some settings that use more battery,,,
WIFI open network notification must scan all the time to find any open network,,uncheck this box unless really needed.
XLoud uses more battery boosting the loudspeaker quality and volume...
Sonys Bravia Engine enhancement uses more power making LCD image quality better and YES it really works,,i was impressed trying video without it on and then switching it on.
Under call settings you have Noise Suppression option which uses the second microphone onboard Xperia Pro and this will take power as well..
Under accounts and sync these Auto Sync etc take up more power if selected..
Under location and security there are 2 settings their which take up a lot of power if used.
After my first day i am really impressed with Xperia Pro but need to get the WIFI sorted..
Oh great nothing but wifi trouble since it arrived..How come i love S/E so much but they always let me down,,k770i/p990i/c902/c903/..
Ive just ordered mine from play.com 259 GBP plus Expansys have them in,,,black only at the moment tho.
Plus it comes with documents editor which is another £10-£20 on average to buy on Android and other platforms.
NickyNick, 02 Jan 2012HI, thinking of getting either the mini pro or the xperia pro, which one is the better choice?I have the Pro and my sister has the Mini Pro. Personally, I find the screen on the Mini Pro to be too small. The Pro is also quite a small and compact phone as well so see no reason why not to go for the Pro. The Pro also has a better camera.
ralph, 02 Jan 2012how can i stop the phone from working for two days?turn it off. ^_^
Why is this smartphone not widely available??.I am going to get one from somewhere in UK..
HI, thinking of getting either the mini pro or the xperia pro, which one is the better choice?

People should really not be using here to ask basic support questions, rather should be a place for discussing phone features and making buying decisions.

SE forum and XDA Developers forum and... are too often too "smartass" and not really helping new users with "old" problems.
