Sony need to build a super phone.
to improve ;-
1. Increase Internal Memory , bigger Ram
2. Secondary front Camera for video call.
3. Improve on battery life. 7 hr to short.
4. to build sony own apps or market
I think people shouldn't complain about pricing until the phone becomes widely available. Street prices tend to be quite a bit lower than preorder prices.
I have a Sony Bravia hdtv - supports wi-fi DLNA and usb mass storage (hdmi is useless for this phone right?). My question is: can I play 720p mp4/ DivX video files (or even full hd videos) which are stored in the phone's sd card using usb connection or DLNA to be watched on my tv properly?
pleas, 14 Jul 2011video call?pleas yes or notUnlike SAMSUNG their Androids can't even make Video calls. Only video chat which eats up a lot of data and requires that other party should also have Android. Very bad. If SAMSUNG can do it why can't they ?
Same price as HTC Desire S which has better build-quality, bigger RAM and screen.
choose btn n8, galaxy nd xperia ray
pmyt75, 05 Jul 2011Ray's specs are impressive for a mid-to-high end phone and if the price is competitive I will ... moreI'm ok to admit I like Samsung phones when it comes to reliability. I've owned SE and Samsung phones. The latter is more reliable I must say, and better priced, too.
Sam, 11 Jul 2011Sony Ericsson Xperia ray is very expensive they said this is a mid class phone bt it price is ... moreI think Sony, as usual would like to create an impression that they're products are the best and should be priced sky high compared to other brands. They think superior to others. Look at the vaio computers. For the same specs, they are always more expensive. Just the name brand. So, consumers, consider wisely.
query!, 10 Jul 2011do the android apps get stored in the internal memory or can they also be stored in the extern... moreThey're usually automatically stored to the SD card. Unless the app's a Google made one.
Other than the price issue with SE, they seem to be easily defective after about a year of usage. I've bought two in the past and they had problems with not much that abuse. My brother had his X10 for a little over a year and it too broke. Not for long-term use.

Just wait for them to go on sale when the price goes really low. Only, the android version is already obsolete.LOL That's when younger people may be able to afford them with drawback of older OS version.
Well there is a secondary camera so my guess there is gonna be video calls..
For a 3.3" is quite a looong phone
Will it have the same issue as the Arc on the video having no zoom? I had the Arc in my hands and it felt too big, and no video zoom killed the deal for me. Now the Ray looks just about the right size but still worried about the ability to zoom while recording video. No tests were run on this?
Too expensive. If sony keeps on giving products too pricy i think people will stop using and sony would start losing customers. All good handsets by sony cost more than 10 or 15000. And majority people who are gadget freaks are youngsters and noone really affords such expensive handsets though they like them. Sony should pay attention to low range android devices too. If android is all free system then why is it so pricey?
Better off buying Neo with HDMI out.
wat is price plzz tell???
video call?pleas yes or not

the back of Ray is identical to the W 902 oh my lovely phoooooooooone
