why buy this phone 350 . u can buy samsung galaxy 280 which is 100 times better than this phone
the phone is releasing on 15th august
and it will cost £349.99 (=around RS 25,000)
Ray's specs are impressive for a mid-to-high end phone and if the price is competitive I will definitely get one. Well done SE. As for Samsung Wave(it was mentioned earlier in this thread)I have to say that it's a great phone as well. Smart or not, it's one of the best deals you can get for less than 300$. And it's not a coincidence that it's ranked in the first five phones from the day it was released. I am not a Samsung fan-boy by the way....
Arak, 04 Jul 2011dear Samsung Wave is not a smart phone Sony Ericsson Ray is a smart phone Sony Ericson Xperia ray is the smartphone :-)
Ill be w8ing for its price hope it would be fair. . anyone know how much this phone will cost?

My 1 year & 1 month old Samsung Wave is way better th... moreWell, it's promising to be more Aluminium than plastic
then, of course it's Android not Bada
and, also it has what promises to be a decent camera.
With any phone, if it doesn't have the specs you want you can get something else.
This phone is obviously aimed at someone who wants a good quality droid with a decent screen image and a reasonable feature set without having to lug around a huge 4 inch screen Behemoth.
AnonD-7720, 26 Jun 2011does it support flash player ? coz i didnt c any in d specs ?Well the screen resolution and the operating system both conform to the requirements for Flash, so I reckon so.
Anonymous, 24 Jun 2011What I don't understand was that, why SE just putting a small amount of internal space on thei... moreSE seems to have learned from their earlier lessons with the Xperia range and they now appear to be doing better than most manufacturers at bringing their phones to market with the latest version of Android (HTC Incredible, LG Optimus 2X anyone?).
As for upgrade potential, it's interesting to note that the Xperia X10 with its paltry 1gb / 384mb of ram is apparently getting Gingerbread without too much fuss, but, compare that story to the on / off / on saga of HTC Desire.
I suspect that there is a tiny bit of competence in Sony Ericsson's design stragegy and their Android skin is much less intrusive than the likes of HTC Sense which makes it easier for them to push out updates, even for their older phones.
