Ok...i got this phone since march. Impressions ?
Good side :
- very solid, robust
- good looking
- rom update works great (the original needed many reboots...with the new one i didnt reset it on 2 months or so)
- extremly fast and great responsivness
- great keyboard and great slider
- great screen inside a room (in sunlight it's a no go...you can't see anything)
- battery is really good
- weight a bit much compaired to my old SE K800i
- the camera is a joke (i know its not a cybershot but they could do waaaay better here)
- the earspeaker is clearly worse than the k800
- the laudspeaker is places in a really bad position
- gsm signal is worse compaired to k800
- eveything related to "sound/music" is def. worse than k800 including the headset witch is a joke compaired to the k800 one.
All in all it's a good phone, very equiped and stylish but they just could have done better on the multimedia side...i mean common..the camera is very poor to useless and the sound (earspeaker/mainspeaker/headset) is mediocre at best...all this at "that" price !!!
So i bought an X1. fully charge it. go to work and put on the radio and it draings the battery in 6-8 hours. Is it because I have the radio on for that long or is my battery messed up? The review said they put the phone to the harshest endurance test and it lasted 2 days. Mine wont last 8 hours only using the radio! I like it thought, I just need to know if its the radio that's draining the battery so fast or do I need a better battery?
wtf. "sony ericsson is the best, but i think itz not better than nokia." you jst contradicted yourself there. Ar u obsessed wit nokia or something?? jst face it, sony ericsson is about the best.
Why my streaming media doesn't work as e.g. every time i open a video in youtube my streaming media is telling connection failed? i already tried all the possible network options from the settings but it didn't work.
"it takes to use one to speak about one."
for those haters of the xperia, back off. youre prolly one of those "user-friendly" user phones. you dont even own an xperia in the first place.
xperia is a well rounded device that you actually tweak from every single bit. the purpose why sony ericsson sold their x1s at its minimal software applications because they know that people could do alot of tweaking from the moment its on its users hand. from tweaking its start up menus, to adding cool applications, mods, cooking and the like. whats more interesting is that you get to personalize it to the max via the panels.
so i suggest, buy the phone first, use it for a month, then talk about its efficiency after you have totally experienced every single thing that it can offer.
if youre satisfied, the better. but if not, then its really up to you on what to do. choosing a phone is subjective anyways. so keep it cool and watch what you say. ^^
If only this phone had more onboard memory like Nokia N97 it would then be excellent for business.
yeah! i juSt bought it 2 weeks ago and its the coOlest stuff ever...
but just the battery drained out fastly even i dont used it..
The second Xperia phone will probably have the same processor, but the cam. quality is awesome, and the screen too, if is OLED. I like the design very much, will be a succsess, and the Satio too! The next announcment will be probably on 17 June, then will be announced the X2.
If I want to buy this phone from a website, say phonesource-usa.com, how do I know if it's the X1i or the X1a they're selling?
(Btw, I live in America)
