I'm still very happy to be the owner of this great phone, only thing that's bad are the cracks that show up after a few months! =P
For those that have had their Xperia for a while, how often do you have to use the stylus? I want a finger-friendly phone and the icons on the touchscreen look extremely small and finger-unfriendly. Thanks in advance for your advice.
Dood, 24 May 2009I believe it depends on what you're using your phone for. I mean, obviously, if you don't do a... moreCheck on http://geekedout.se/winmo.php#memcard. It has the best tweaks you can think of for the Xperia. I also complained about the volume for several months, but after installing one of the tweaks for xda, it now sounds really loud. Also, files in wav generally sound louder than mp3. I converted my mp3 fav. ringtones to wav and the ring volume was so lound I never seen before. Xperia is a great phone if you tweak it right to suit your needs. Once done, my advice is to backup your phone to have a fresh copy in case you need it if you tweak too much.
I am now having this for over a month now- very responsive- amazing phone- however needs a lot of initial tweaking to get the right set of software/ programs for the phone.
I really need some useful advice with this phone. I am thinking about taking the mentioned handset Sony Ericsson X1 out contract, the phone seems nice, however after reading the comments made i am not so sure. Can someone who can provide useful feedback with regard to the way the ahdnset work please advise if this is a good reliable handset. Will i experience problems with this phone and how long should thios handset last me.
had a test run today in a shop and i am quite disappointed - too slow. if only it's more responsive.
Most developed country this model is FREE with a cheap contract.
Unfortunately, it is still a bad deal:
- reception bad and unreliable
- OS slow
- battery is lousy
- construction is weak
Try it for a few days before you buy!!!!
SE better than nokia i thin'... but in X1 case i'm not sure.. !!!
the speaker reallly..really bad performance [ i have 1 and so such about that .. ].. but my X1 still looking good if i compare that with black blackbeery phone..!!
do you see that ?? blackberry like the calculator.. so idiot phone..!!

Anonymous, 21 May 2009I love sony Ericsson i have a W850i for over to years now and i had no problems at all,I have ... moreI had that phone it's a great phone but now I have the x1 it's like the w850i but with touchscreen and better Internet

Drama, 23 May 2009Hey bro, What do you mean SE Australia doesnt have the X1 listed so you can register it? T... moreThe sony ericsson website lets you register to get freebies for your phone. When I went to register my phone with my account they hadn't even updated the page with the X1 as an option. This isn't anything major, just surprising that's all.
I believe it depends on what you're using your phone for. I mean, obviously, if you don't do anything like use the internet, or have apps that are always on, or navigation, then yea, the battery will last longer. I use all that and more and my battery does last two days strong. It actually goes into a third but I usually just go ahead and charge it with 3 bars to go. So yea, it depends.
I just have a question which I haven't found a solution to as of yet; does anyone have a fix for the damn Xperia ring volume?!? The in call volume is perfect..well for me it is. But the ring volume is disappointing. I have it at max but it still sounds low. All in all, the phone is pretty good.
