You got one phone - because that works it does not mean all others work as well

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2009someone could you please tell me how to remove blackstone theme on xperia and replace it with ... moreSorry to tell you that this kind (hangs, unable to turnoff/on etc.)
          - ´normal´

SE reps will tell you that it is all your fault. You probably not able to understand WinMo OS :))))

If you insist - you probably make up the whole story and you are a ´Nokia fanboy´

Please try to understand X1 neven ever breaks down - it is the best phone ever and never will be better.

All your problem is your problem.
You need to accept the phone as it is and adjust your expectation.

Why is it so hard for you take in and out the battery (?) - just do it. :)

The fact is that as far as smartphones - SE is not even on the map (list).

                  X1 was a disaster
                  1: call drops /poor reception
                  2: battery problems
                  3: cracked cases
                  4 WinMo problems!!!!
Released the phone 1 year delay and two weeks before WinMo 6.1???? Is that smart?

Let HTC do the manufacturingű? Is that smart?

                  Finally, SE switched to Symbian.

                  X1 poorly designed outdated model.

X1 is made by HTC - SE announced never contract HTC again.

                    I wonder why?

I guess not because they did a really good job.

I find it extraordinary that mstL can state xperia has been given preferential 'treatment'. Nokia pay journalists/reviewers flights, hotel accommodation etc etc hence the totally biased reviews on most nokia devices. Anyway the Xperia is for the tech savvy, get it if you enjoy advanced computing otherwise buy simple symbian or java based cells.

hi jo, in answer to your question.

GPS is just your standard sat nav signal like what you would get in a tomtom device...

A-GPS (A means assisted) is where your mobile will connect to the internet at the same time your GPs module connects to the satalite to get the data for maps so that if yourr GPS signal drops then you will still recieve voice and map data via the internet connection...

                                  hope that helps

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970obviously you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, nokia n95 was useless and runs on symbian. that phones been out for nearly 3 years and nokia still cant get it to work right. if you look at any nokia handset that runs on symbian (which is a good majority) they have repeated faults and for soem reason nokia cant find a way to fix them

winmo is not just about word docs and spreadsheets, you can get all the apps that iphone and symbian offer but you have more connectivity and sync options as you can directly sync it with ()% of the worlds computers without any problems....

just because you dont know how to work them and are only capable of using basic cheap software doesnt mean that everything else is crap.....

there is no such this as a superior manufacturer....they are all equal....each has good and bad points......its what they call the mobile market....making what the public wants.....

do some research before you start posting stupid comments.....

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2009I can not fully agree that X1 is the worst SE phone ever. But certainly if we consider the pri... morei am getting sick of pathetic people who have no idea how to work or make the phone work putting the phone down.

the reason there was so many problems is because sony wanted to try and catch up with the ever changing mobile market and like any other mobile manufacturer they decided to use the public as guinea pigs to get the problems out of the handset so they could fix them....

if you truely knew how to use a winmo device or smartphone in general you would not be making such hard judgements....

i myself had a faulty handset but with a software update (which ever mobile manufacturer offers as a safety guard incase any problems occur) the phone works fine....as for the battery most people do not relise they have to disconnect the internet manually when they have finished and so thus the battery drains due to a constant connection to the internet.....funnily enough just like a laptop computer or general smartphone.....

next time before you jump the gun have a think about what you are putting and maybe look back at bigger flops like maybe the nokia n95 / n95 8gb and n96.....which are all still faulty and they are all the same product....oh well too bad nokia.....

also all you fan boys waiting for this glorious so called saviour you call the n97....you will all be very disappointed...nokia cant even create a full buttoned handset with sybian software that works correctly nevermind a touchscreen handset with a full qwerty that offers hardlt any new features that havent been used in previous n series....again oh well poor nokia....
