All you need to do is go into the folder where the music is loaded. Using your stylus, press the stylus on the music track you want to use as a ring tone untill another menu comes up. Select the option that says 'set as ring tone'.
Hope this helps!
Maybe im just being a bit stupid but, i loaded some music on this phone. im trying to set one of the track as a ringtone. is this possible?

What I was not happy was why my posts were keep being deleted.
Also, the complaint was not to you, it was to whoever delete the posts.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Mate, I wasn't being rude. See my other posts. I have been genuinely answering people's queries and helping them.
But what you asked is something that has been asked so many times here. All I wanted is for you (and some other ppl like you) to at least make an effort to find the answer to their query about the max memory card size. Reading the posts from just the last few days would have been fine. But you chose not to.
So ya, if you own an X1, or want to buy one, it'll only help you to read these forums (esp this one and XDA Developers). There are loads and loads of tips. A smartphone is only as smart as you make it. Otherwise all phones can make and recieve calls, you dont need an X1 if that's what you need a phone for. So do the smart thing.
Now feel free to go complain.

asd, 05 Mar 2009I think that Ray UK is not being impolite but u rather have to think before u post. On top of ... moreThanks ASD, for understanding me.
That's right. I dont wanna be rude to anyone. But just expect that people who own or are interested in this smartphone are smart enough to do a little search before asking something that has been asked countless number of times before. I personally find it quite helpful just to read the posts on this forum. Learn so many things from some of you who already owned an X1. But as ASD says, the search feature is always there for some of you who dont wanna spend any time going through the posts (search for "microSD" or "16gb" or "32gb")
People, be a little smart.
I have been a Sony Ericsson supporter for 7 years, and I usually purchase there flag ship models. Before you rate the X1 or review it please use it first!! The phone boasts so many features, yet SE clearly forgot to install the phone on the X1! Its shocking how often this phone will drop calls. Windows Mobile is full of flaws just like all MS Windows products! Please SE next time you ask HTC to manufacture a phone for you think twice! I had the P1 prior to the X1 and its more stable, has better reception and a lot more user friendly. I am really shocked at what lengths a company such as Sony Ericsson will go through just to get on to the " Windows Mobile" band wagon. Stick to what you good at. Symbian is a far more superior platform than what Windows will be in the next 50 years. I am very dissapointed with SE and will consider a new brand when purchasing again. The lesson, don't sacrifice quality for sales!!

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I think that Ray UK is not being impolite but u rather have to think before u post. On top of the comments section there is a search function, type in some query like "memory card" or like that and see only the posts which discuss about the memory card etc. I am not defending anyone but I personally think that a person buying X1 should at least be able to search google for help.
hongdolaxi, 05 Mar 2009does anyone know what's the largest memory card it can take? thanksRead the posts in the last few days before asking something that has been asked countless times on this forum. Can you? Please!
BTW people, I installed a new on-screen keyboard called FingerKeyboard2.
It's free, and with nice big keys. I found it good. If you wanna install it, follow the link...
michael wilson, 05 Mar 2009does anyone know how i can download the operating system touchflow on this phone, the one use ... moreHi Michael,
For TouchFlo 3D, follow the steps that Indra posted on this forum on 28Jan2009. It helped me, and should help you too.
On the subject, you could also install PointUI. I found it very stable on the X1 (never crashed). It's fairly basic compared to TF3D, but fast and it works.
