Sony Ericsson, 17 Feb 2009i got my sony ericson today from ebay, which is used. i try to connect the X1 to the internet ... moreI think your Internet Broadband router is too modern and perhaps it´s configured to accept only N network connections. The sony ericsson phone connects only by b or g networks. Try to configure your router with a slower speed, remove all passwords and try again. I think it will be ok. Rodrigo Matos, Brazil.

Great Concept, excellent build quality, fiddly experience with some applications. Just a couple of issues.... Firstly if you want to have WiFi & Bluetooth & 3g working don't! Battery life won't last a day without re-charge. Secondly, this is a Smartphone. It would be good if the Phone half was user friendly... It is possibly the worst PHONE experience on the market. Do not buy if you make lots of calls or want to use whilst driving.

- Is it the battery life as good as sony states?
- How long that the battery last in a normal usage (3-4 call a day 5-19 each)?
- Has anybody try to "tune the kernel" to improve performance...is it possible?
- Does the screem looks strong anough for the everyday use?

No one has replied my query. Not happy since my phone response isnt that fast enough; besides that I also wish if any one here could assist me on the easiest way to use my phone as a modem via usb connection to my laptop.I have installed the only CD it came with and it only have active sync.

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2009sounds awsome but pricey I am only 10 after all please reply related products with a better priceonly 10 !!! than go for Sony Ericsson F305 or Sony Ericsson C901 because they have Motion based games so you will enjoy them. LG ks360 is a good option too

tap today>settngs>connection then tap wifi>wireless network configuration,ex.neatgear, then tap menu> select modify,>>nerwork name-netgear>>connect to,just select,>internet settings,>next(autentication,just select,>WPA2-PSK>crittography-just select-AES,then type passkey if your network has protected key,then next>tap finished to exit the manual configuration.then the wifi is connect automatically

Well, what's "by chance" about it?
Anyway, the first thing I'd like to say when comparing these two phones is... the X1 is already in the market, in fact it's been there for a few months now. And where is N97? I haven't seen it in the store yet. Should I have gone to the other store? Well, there wont have been any luck. Why so? It's just that the N97 has not been released yet. So what's the point in comparing two phones which are months apart in their release dates. Even 6 months is a long time in this fast paced consumer electronics sector.
Secondly, because the N97 hasn't hit the stores yet, no one can actually give you their opinion of it based on real experience. So the option for you is to just compare the specs on both the phones. That's what anybody else would be doing when they reply to your query.

i got my sony ericson today from ebay, which is used. i try to connect the X1 to the internet throught my netgear router. after i enter the right network key, it warning message pop up and say that
"Cannot connect to the network. check your network and service provider setting anf try again"
any1 know what wrong with it? the main reason i buy this phone is to access internet anywhere in my house but now i cnt use it!!! i hope some1 who know plz help meeeee. thnxxxx
