Hello everybody. I like this phone very much an i am interested in buying it in a few months. I have seen mostly all the comments and i don't know what to believe, is it good? or bad? Please write a true report in a comment.
WOW!!!! have this fone for almost a month now....
Rolls Royce in the mobile phones world!!!!
this is the best phone. I am having it for about two monts and never had problems. Maybe it is just my device....but doubt it. For the negative comments about x1, I think that you people who are writing this nonsense dont even have one.
this is the best phone ever!!!
Anonymous, 14 Jan 2009Lies, lies everywhere... Had the phone for 2 days.

I had the same experience with different phones (and batteries)
The battery just horrible.
It is probably dangerous also.
It has been reported that it heats up to a really hot level.
It is possible that some phones (batteries) work great but my guess is that the problem is too common and SE should have recalled the batteries.
koov, 14 Jan 2009Don't u ppl know htc and se x are munfactured by HTC.
HTC rules!!!You are absolutely correct:
the X1 made by HTC.
Some of the SE phones made by HTC and Sagem.
Check out Sagem! :))))
They have announced about 14 phones in February 2008 :)
from them 12 still ´coming soon´
˝The next Sony Ericsson XPERIA won’t be made by HTC˝
I wonder who gets the contract?
That is gonna be another samrt move from SE :)))
Probably, by 2011 Sagem will be ready to manufacture a phone with greater than 2˝screen (or 2.4 :).
Lies, lies everywhere... Had the phone for 2 days.
Today I got a whopping 18 hours of battery time. I made a total of 16 mins of calls. Yesterday I barely made it from 7 AM to 9 PM
YEP 18 HOURS!!!!!
SO PLEASE DO EVERYONE A FAVOR AND TELL THE TRUTH-THE BATTERY LIFE IS HORRIBLE, JUST PATHETIC

The Biggest High-Tech Flops Of 2008
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1
... moreWe and many others waited long time for this big....
but at least it did not take long time to learn the real value of X1.
During the first couple of weeks even the hardcore SE fans flooded the net - the reps were quite that time.
Now the PR is getting louder.
Even GSMArena did not know what to do with the X1 - for weeks there was not review.
I guess they had to give in.
SE will have hard time to catch up.
see GSMArena News Samsung phone with projector - and it works great!
X1 has trouble with a Wifi connection - of course there are several excuses, but who cares? I do not! In 2009, a reliable Wifi and GSM connection just essential for me.
You may have a different opinion, I respect that and that case I strongly recommend the X1 for you and all the people like you!
Anonymous, 14 Jan 2009There is definitely too much SPAM here. This is NOT a touch phone. IT IS UNUSABLE WITHOUT THE ... moreYes, unfortunately you are another unhappy customer of SE with the X1!
And all the reps here giving me hard time - I guess more education needed.
500 euro is way too much for the X1 - I refuse to take it for free
I will not carry 2 phone just because the X1 reception is lousy.
You may able to sell your phone the guys here who keep posting ´X1 rules´ :)))
for 600 Euro since it is broken in already :)
I'm totally in love with this phone - i wanted one then i found the HTC Touch Pro - they almost match each other. Now its a tricky choice, coz DAMN Xperia is expensive!
u ppl cant buy that fone because u ppl dont have money to own x1
im using this phone and every thing is just fine,no freezes,no halts,no critical errors
plz stop making useless comments
and don't interrupt the market of se..because they are making sensible phones....
I must say this is a improvement over all the recent SE phones, but I think SE must start to catch up with the rest. Consumers understand they have a long term strategy, but in terms of current similar phones the rest have more higher end features and SE seems to be behind in terms of that.
I love the build quality of SE phones and operating systems, but please catch up in terms of features.X1 is out but Samsung and nokia have more feature rich phones in the same class.

The Biggest High-Tech Flops Of 2008
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1
It may have been the most eagerly awaited telephone of the year... and it may well have been the most disappointing telephone of the year, too. Introduced in February with (almost) operational prototypes, the phone has only just become available in stores. Its “revolutionary” Windows Mobile interface was not only slow, but it also wasn’t any more functional than other operating systems from HTC, Samsung or Asus. And since there’s only one Windows Mobile model from Sony Ericsson, developments
for the proprietary interface, quite naturally, are scarce. What was supposed to be the ultimate smartphone is at best only passable, and at worst a total failure.
There is definitely too much SPAM here. This is NOT a touch phone. IT IS UNUSABLE WITHOUT THE STYLUS.
The UI is so bad, that you need to install this HTC Touch3D to make it more user friendly and then it hangs your phone.
What a great investment of €500.
Wish I had known this before I bought it :(
Anonymous, 13 Jan 2009got my Taiwan made xperia today and I can only say one thing...
THIS PHONE IS UNUSABLE WITH... moreI agree!
Too many problems for too many people.
The good thing that it is not sold in high quantities, actually I can not imagine that anybody would give any money for this ....
It is available for free with a contract - try it and take it back (most likely you would experience the same problems as we did)
SE is huge corp. PR is strong.
- reception problems
- battery: poor performance, overheating
- cracked case
You type in cracked case X' into a search and you will see...
- slow performance
- hang ups
Because for me the phone is for making calls, X1 is totally useless even for free due to its reception problem even.
If you need a PDA or a second phone to carry around and you do not care about reception, or battery lifespan - X1 might be acceptable for you.
Anonymous, 13 Jan 2009 ˝its give you you style and everything you can imagine˝ - :))) Funny! I do not have to pu... moreIf you want good camera buy camera and not phone, I am using for pictures fuji s6500, no any 8 mpx. phone can make good pictures for sure, I know what I am talking about, but as I can see you just hate what is better as your phone, sorry but is not my fault.. :)
Skype Launches on Android, Java Handsets

In Android, Applications, CES 2009, Java, VoIP
At CES Skype announced a lite version of their app featuring basic functions like Skype-to-Skype calls, instant messaging, outbound and inbound calling, and contact viewing on over 100 Java-based phones and Android. That seems to be the lion’s share of what Skype is used for, and getting onto the Android bandwagon just as apps are going premium is a smooth move, since they’ll be able to easily offer subscription and pay-as-you-go options right through the device. iPhone and BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM), however, will see a tougher time getting their Skype clients in action due to restrictive carrier relationships. In the meantime, the free beta should be available in the Android Market, while those with Java handsets should go to www.skype.com/go/mobiledownload to get started.
