I have been having it for the last 1 month and features are awesome. its good to use and talk time is good, just need to know how to install remote desktop connection (RDP ) on this phone, can anyone tell me how to do it.

The Xperia is excellent, no question. . I have proper benchmark figures from a real world device, and the reality is that the device is capable of recording VGA 30fps, but it can only playback at 20fps. Most people will not notice this, so it is not a huge issue. Coreplayer will play divx on the device
There are some irritating issues with bluetooth turning off when the device sleeps. 99% of all of these problems are resolved by installing the commercial version of SPB mobile shell or the free XperiaTweak app.

You can post sms more than 160 character cause it supports paging. It just too good too be true... and if some one want to listen to music , ya its good but better buy and W910/C905, they are best for sounds... not even Nokia can deliver that type of sound on head phones.

Guys.. why cry for the price.. SE already stated that they are not looking for mass nos. Experia X1 is the first phone from their Xperia series.. Its a phone for the people who likes to configure & tweak their phones as per their needs.. See the looks.. the screen.. all metal finish.. If u afford it than buy it.. after all u will be having something what no tom dick harry has:)) i bought this phone on 12th Dec & i still loving it...wowowww... Just a delight to hold this baby... I waited for this phone since June 10th & had it in DEc!!! As they say Patience does pay:)) cheersss..

yes it supports full screen video playin in WVGA format.. which is crystal clear.. with headphones u feel the sound great.. as it watchin a movie in a dolby surround theatre.. n the rectangle screen gives u a theatre like experience..
U just need to download an DVD ripper software.. select MPEG4.. Video bitrate 512 kbps.screen size 480 x 260 [800 x 480 will give same resolution watchin a movie but will eat up battery & also the movie will give jerks in intervals].
audio fix it to 44100hz sample rate.. AAC encoder.. 128kbps bitrate... just do these things on the DVD ripper & enjoy full movie.. i bet you will like to watch movie on any other mobile phones once you watch on Xperia... X1 rockssss.. hope this helps..

Yes, the X1 has some quality problems, but some people just do not care about that.
Some like style or brand recognition over reliability, price, or functionality.
Everyone gets what they want :)

Im not quite sure if i should buy this X1 phone, because i have read many positive and negative comments. But it really does look like a good phone, and i really appreciate the person who took all his time going over whats good and bad about the "SEXperia" :p thanks a lot, i think this will make me go for buying this phone. I have used Sony Ericcson a lot and it is THE best phone you can buy!!
So GO sony ericcson :)

i have had every p-series phone that se have made and never ever found that problem with letters wearing away and im a heavy texter and internet user.
i have had my x1 from the day of release and im still a heavy texter and use the internet even more.
so i think unfortunately u might have got a unit which passed qc when it should have failed.
the only downer i have on th ex1 is the buttons are a little too small and smetimes it can get annoying when you hit the same key by accident more than once.
se are the future, i mean look at nokia copying the x1 with the (crappy) n97. it feels and looks plasticy!!!!
se never fail!!!!!!

also, my battery only lasts about a day (on second charge only, 10 min LAN). what can I do to improve it?
where do one find the underscore symbol on the x1 keyboard?
to the guy who asked about sms report and number shown: yes you can set it for sms delivery report and also set it to show number to either all / none / or contact list only.

This is a huge quality issue and SE needs to stop producing such poor quality models... they are loosing the market in smart phones and will sink till they have something really good.
Wonder how many units of experia they sold????

I thought I had another negative today as I found there was no arrow buttons on the keyboard which is annoying if you want to add text in without using the stylus but then found the Nav button is the arrow function which is much better than a keyboard arrow set. So my 'almost negative' turned into a positive.
Yes it is the X1a. The video is poor but I accept that :)
Yes, I setup Gmail on push, too easy. Outlook picked up the settings automatically and I just needed to put my user and password in. 3 minutes tops to do.
