Darn it! I should have bought silve one instead of the black one!
I finally got hold of Xperia here in the Philippines and it is as impressive as most users say. The only "lag" or slowdown that I have experienced so far is when the panel view is shifting from one type or another; but it's very minimal and neglectible. Camera and video wise are decent for a smartphone - pretty much the same quality as my old N93. I have yet to test the wi-fi, 3g and all other features but so far so good!
sammy , 27 Nov 2008I got this phone. Everything is perfect except the font size is too small. Anyone knows any so... morelol you can change the font size by the phoe itself.

x1 fan, 28 Nov 2008http://www.eseth.net/news/sonyericssonreviews/Sony_Ericsson_X1_Review_3.shtmlExcellent review x1 fan,,when i first typed on the key board i did not even think about it i just typed as if i had done it since i was born,,people will not believe the screen till they see it and colours are fantastic and s/e have made a superb job in using the colours..
What have other peole bought colour wise?? I wanted the silver one but they only had black in stock but really glad i got black now it shows up the screen even better..
I do want to be honest and i would put the xperia battery about 7.5 hrs rather than 10 hrs talktime..i go by using the device about the same as my n82 and its lasts "about" twice as long as my n82 which lasts 4hrs..I have got rid of both battery meters as i am convinced they are causing the battery life to shorten,,WHY,,well when i first got it i give it about 9.5hrs talktime in my initial report but since i added the meters its dropped even tho my battery is more broken in???I will get back if i honestly think the battery meters are causing problems...
My questions are can a rom update cure the RAM leakage to increase battery life and will s/e add equalisers and update their own media center to steady the video playback..Having to use WMA player to view a majority of vids which is no problem at all so it cannot be the xperia ..bye for now,,
Charles Dargo, 28 Nov 2008or download resco media suite from here-http://www10.zippyshare.com/v/82946866/file.htmlThanx for that Charles,,another bit of help from the forum instead of kidtalk..
I'm assuming that since we finally have a 360 degree view, that GSMArena are finally busy with a full review.... Can't wait!

All of a sudden you were using it on monday? So which is it? How can you possibly expect anybody to take you seriously when you're quite obviously full of rubbish...?
i've seen the X1 yesterday at kl (low yatt). the price is around RM3k zumting for standard package.
cool looking phone. but can anyone tell whether this phone performance is good?
Is it possible to customise alarms on this device? I have tried several third party sofware for customising of alarms on other devices (ie. alarmToday, by Pocketmax) and they never work properly. I hope SE has provided this feature on this phone.
nothing outstanding in its class. just too expensive. not worth the money
great phone and i had this phone for almost two weeks with lost of features and applications... X1 rocks...
to save battery!
set your brightness to 2 bar from the lowest!
and backlight go off 30 seconds, device timeout in 2 minutes!
I have experienced the problem of poor reception, dropping calls, and Wifi.
and unfortunately I am not alone:
˝First day of real use in London has shown the reception to be very poor - on the train into London it dropped out most of the way (My S620 always has a good signal, my Athena usually an H but at least a G or E). Now in Lonon the number of bars is 1 - 2 most of the time and the data reception for a download / web page very slow. ˝
Yes, you are absolutely right :)
X1 is hot :)
Having charged the X1 overnight Monday I travelled to work in London and listened to music, by mid-morning I noticed that the battery was down at one bar, started charging it. I left it charging for a couple of hours and then started making calls, about less than 90 mins. On the way home I listened to some music and looked at some web sites, about 1.5 hrs. On arrival at home there was no battery left, so charged for 2 hrs. It turned itself off overnight.
Is this acceptable for a multimedia device ? I don't recall the actual spec but a couple of hours of music player seems to drain it almost completely. Add in push mail (which is a must) and a bit of browsing (all of which is why I got this) & it seems to need charging every 3 hrs of use. I can't be charging that often.
Worse though is that whilst using it yesterday the whole handset became very hot, all over. It was very hot on the back cover & hot when I had it held to my head for a call. This was beyond warm, it was like having a hand warmer in my pocket on the way home. I don't think that this is normal ! (I am charging it now (!) and it is cold, so I'll try & work out what heats it up). ˝
SONY X1 is hot! hot! hot!
just like wii or wiifit!
go to bestbuy.com and check! it' backorder!
also sonystyle.com, it' backorder!
