Do not trust gadget blogs like Gizmodo because they are simply incompetent and have some agenda (anti-Microsoft?).

Right clic... moreWere talking about a 3inch screen here!Anyone with an ounce of knowledge knows high resolution(VGA and above) is the telling factor.I urge anyone to compare a 16million color QVGA display to a 65k VGA screen. The VGA screen is much better, obviously because it has four times as many pixels.WVGA is better still hence why everyone raves about it's crisp and vibrant screen.

Right click your desktop, under properties change it too 16bit colour.
Now play a DVD, do you still say the human eye can't distinguish more than 65k colours?
65k is a limitation of Windows Mobile, not SonyEricsson.
Well some of you that are complaining abaut the big price, see how much it cost in my country(Slovenia)
So SE is no pricing it higt, high demand is the reason price is so high right now. So if it costs 550EUR in free sale it will cost me abaut 400EUR for 6EUR/month 2 year contract, well it seems i will sel 1.5 year old Nokia E90 for 300EUR and add only 100EUR for this nice piece of hardware :P

Does anyone know if and when this phone will be out in the U.S. market, and which carrier will have it?
I just got this phone about a week ago, i will give u my honost opinion, i have tried a lotta phones. The xperia is very sylish looking and has MANY windows mobile options and details to customize your phone. you can type in many ways, the transcriber works really good so does the wifi. One complain i have about it for paying a lotta money is i find that i has sometimes slow response time. not all the time but sometimes.it lives up to expectations if your gonna use all the options and have a data plan for it or else don't waste your money.

SE should recall or cancel the X1. I guess we know now why the X1 had been delayed over and over again.
Omnia is getting great reviews and much more reliable than X1.
It costs about 40% less.

So your problems, screen not tourned off-can be fixed by program, as can most of your problems.

general impression, the reception is worse than the HTC diamond and N95 i had.
Engadget noticed the problem in their review. There is also a post on the xda x1 forum about it(not by me, lol)¨
I recently changed my phone having been a Nokia fan for ever the N96 was.... well shockingly bad and had to be returned. Next was the Blackberry curve which was faulty on delivery,The X1 was suggested to me by Vodafone and it is the first time i've changed from Nokia. The X1 although a little heavy is just brillant, it is a super wee bit of kit,BUT the faults
Bluetooth switches off if not used which is a problem in the car,Sony accept the problem but are not sure if they can fix it,the X1 is problematic in low signal areas and will not even send txt's.
Back on the car issue, the screen shuts down too and can only be wakened by pressing the on button or pulling out the keyboard, bit of an issue when driving, as is no key pad when they ask you to press button 1 or 2. sony said today to me if they can't fix the issues they may well classify the phone as not suitable for car use !!! can't see that myself.
Don't know what to change to the blackberry storm or the samsung omnia ?
