reliability issues? Battery span is not a reliability issue! If you want to run a powerful OS coupled with an extraordinarily detailed screen then i'm afraid you have to except power consumption. It's obvious you don't own the X1 and have never used. The device is actually very stable indeed.
Not only HTC makes phones for SE but Sagem also!
No wonder there are many problems recently with the SE phones.
The problem with X1 is not only the reliably issues: battery, buggy software etc. but it is outdated.
The 15-year old Psion design does not cut it anymore. Nokia tried it and failed now SE - so stu_pid!
Not only the price is doubled but the size also. Who needs a 20mm thick brick! In 2009?
Which color looks better in this phone the black or the silver. Can't decide which one to go for. Thanks

Sony Ericsson designed the xperia x1 and HTC "made" it.

and does the gps works directly with satelite or is it AGPS where you need a data plan and maybe paid subscribition to SE Servers like nokia etc.
These two questions are stopping me from buying it.
I know SE will fix the sound in the next firmware upgrade.
new to windows mobile ? some basic info here http://www.windowsmobilecool.com/2008/11/howto-setup-configure-personalize-device/
dat is cool i'd get it if it wasn't oh i dont know...so dang pricey!!
This is actually a very good phone. Having played around with it for a few days, my only one gripe?
The 800 by 480 screen is JUST TOO SMALL! WHY?!?!?!
brynn, 15 Nov 2008Have got the orange touch with double the ram and rom and its fairly nippy..I think what i got... moreAh I see. It is true WM6 is geared more towards corporate users and does lack some fancy dan eye candy however recent WM devices are pretty capable on the multimedia front . N95 through to N96 saw very little differences, I don't think the same could be said of a HTC kaiser through to the Xperia X1. The new Open Source Symbian platform looks interesting as does WM7....
I don't know xperia x1 but all other sony ericsson phones have volume button.
ı think you don't have any idea about sony ericsson
i check with a SE sale girl that this phone got no T9 function and must use the qwerty keypad to type text msg. is it true?
smartWatchM 220.127.116.11 is a notification application for Windows Mobile Phone which uses the Sony Ericsson AT Commands over Serial Port Profile to connect to Sony Ericsson and other Bluetooth watches to provide text and picture notifications on the watch itself. Supported features are SMS notification, Appointments, Missed call notification, Caller ID, Music player control, setting the time of the watch from the phone and many many more functions. If you have a SE Bluetooth Watch and a WM Phone this free application is indeed invaluable.
