souran, 14 Nov 2008hi can any one tell me if it has auto screen rotation?i mean with out sliding the keyboard??ta... morenope srry dude it doesnt has a screen rotation without sliding... but its a really awesome machine, i can garentee u that.... since i own one myself... just go for it, but yes shuld know hw to use the functions... tc

The Xperia X1 is easily the best piece of hardware ever on WM. The keyboard isn't quite as good as the one sported on the E90 or Touch pro but it's still very good. Panels are not great, prefer SPB mobile shell but that aside this pocket pc is damn near perfect.

www.3g.co.uk have given its view of xperia and they found it really slow and panels get in the way,,They say it best to get thru to windows its best to forget the panels altogeher which leaves in my mind a windows fone with basic non -cybershot model camera as promised and no walkman player or anything better than whats already on the market..More confused than ever :(

sony ericsson needs to do a software update and fast. the x1 is cool. . . but for us real phone guys we need the option to switch from symbian to windows. or maybe have them work together. i've bought every bluetooth watch sony ericsson makes and now i just bought this phone for almost $1000 and it doesn't know how to use the bluetooth watch. sending mine back. i like to use my bluetooth watches.

to any one wants real answer for question and device tour visit (http://pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=reviews&id=1107) you can read from the size of device to its performance and everything, i myself track everything about this device and waited for 7 months for this phone to come and i ordered it £440 yesterday.

The Xperia x1 is a brilliant phone! I have had many Symbian and WinMo smart phones in the past such as the N70, N82, palm treo, HTC Kaiser , and the T-Mobile Dash. On this purchase I was planning on buying a HTC Touch Pro, but decided to buy and try Sony\'s new Xperia. Looking back at my purchase, I definitely don\'t regret it. The Xperia is bringing life into the world of dull phones and setting the new standard for Windows Mobile.

Yes my signal is very very poor, i changed from orange to vodafone. With my Orange sim card in I could get 'G' in all areas, but with my voda sim, i get no signa in MOST' places. Rediculous, whats the point in a having an awsome phone if you cant use it, I am taking it back tomorrow and getting one from carphone warehouse on orange.

reception is poor on the x1 my work ordered 150 units which all went back. SE said they will have a new revision Jan09 a rom upgrade will not fix this issue. They need to revise the antenna. I sent my phone back today as at work it could not hold a 3g signal were my HTC Diamond PRO does both on the same network.
The X1 is a good phone but 2 problems for me it is not a keeper the bad keyboard
and reception issues.
