I want another phone however, multi-purpose one that I can download movies and write documents plus a fairly large screen. I have looked at the new Storm and other phones. Can you advise me what to purchase.

I got this X1 for 2 day now . overall this was good I don't think X1 is the best Battery drain faster I900 and phone is bigger Iphone and I900 and heavy too . The speed was fast and the panel not that slow
just wait untill you get it and then you will know . I will put this on ebay for lost X2 will out next summer

XPERIA X1 is launching in Bangladesh at November 25, 2008. It will cost 55,000 BDT ($800 USD). Already some stores in Basundhara City got it and asking high price like 85,000 BDT ($1,250 USD)!!!

Yes!! I am Getting this phone tommrow,it's launching in singapore tommrow at 12pm,from the shop,they say there are alot of people ordering this phone! Woah...never regret after buying,tried the phone and is a blown off to all WM phones!

This is the best Windows Mobile device that has ever passed my desk. Period. Sony Ericsson was right by declaring it a "game changer" - this has raised the bar, and if the Panel interface takes off and we see a lot of neat Panels, the X1 could become a benchmark mobile device.
Not only is the X1 refined from top to bottom, but it brings a new interface paradigm that challenges our idea of what a Windows Mobile Today screen should be. I was super impressed by its high performance and excellent battery life, and was refreshed by the sensitivity and clarity of the high-resolution touchscreen. If you're big on one-handed use, this device is not for you. But for everyone else that desires a powerhouse of a device, this is definitely it.

This is probably a stupid question but do you have to use the slide out qwerty keyboard to dial a number or does it have it on the front touch screen as well. Just from someone who is interested in buying the X1.

Anonymous, 06 Nov 2008can this phone view horinzontal without keypad slide down ???because sometimes no need flip do... moreOpera 9.5 may have an option to view the page in landscape mode, which, if exists, should work without having the keyboard down. Hope it does, it should be real useful.
