nokia fans should concentrate on 5800, shock horror its been delayed lol the poor effort could never compete with the xperia and now nokia can't get it out before christmas..nokia would take about 20years to produce a proper pda ie one that had WM OS
An all in one devise
cybersh0t + walkman + business + s0lid built+ design+ wind0ws + great battery = PERPECT!!!!
Anonymous, 08 Oct 2008where do i get x1 will has 384MB RAM, check it out below :
http://www.theunwired.net/?item=... moreWell, all those links you posted go back to the same source. I could post a few dozent more of those. They are all based on what Magnus said during two X1 presentations. There is no different source than these two statments from the same person and there hasn't been a confirmation from any other SE representatives. All white papers and official documents say 256 MB. That's why I'm still expecting it to launch with 256 MB.
If they really would want it to have 384 MB, they would have to build in 2 different RAM chips (256 + 128) as these only come in amounts of 2^x. With 256 MB they would be able to use just one chip, which is much more convenient.
Bw@e , who are you? But your comments about Xperia reflects all we xpect from!!
welcome xperia x1! you've come to indonesia! the greatest phone i've ever seen. hm... the price seems to be overpriced. they said 850 usd? i hope that i have it one. . .
LOL so... was it worth the wait
the latest reviews says that interface is annoyingly slow. All this wait for a crappy product. way to go SE

1 - Use the screen estate better
You w... moreThanks 4 your comments, thats an intro preview/review of the final review, but u post opinions that majority of x1 fans wanted to know, and they were not wrong, cheers! X1 4 X-mas!
It will take long 4 the user to know/explore all the functions, features, capabilities etc....of Xperia!!
Sony/ericsson/windows ....the best!
The cons here are its annoying slowness and the fact that Sony Ericsson in some cases have taken the easy route with the existing Windows features instead of implementing its own, superior ones for the platform.
It looks like we wont have the X1 by the end of this week...Looks like next week, Moday 13th at the earliest. Cant believe its taking soooo long....
X1 is the best so far, no matter what other says .. ^_^
SE, quickly put it in store ! @#$^&*
my problem in sony ericsson phone is the charger port its a bit difficult and sometimes you cannot attach it!

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2008iam not sure they used final product but i knew they used x1 that has 256MB RAM with new ROM, ... moreWhere did you get the information that they used a 256 MB device in this review? They didn't mention RAM size.
As the didn't state RAM, ROM version and video capturing, I'm pretty certain that this was a beta device.
Concerning the 384 MB RAM in the final version I'm not to sure this is true. Magnus Anderson said so in the web cast, but I haven't heard it from any other source except him and he didn't seem very competent on technical details. He was more into design and panels. Even the white papers still state 256 MB RAM. So my guess is that there will be 256 MB in the final version.
q, 08 Oct 2008First review not so goog about the speed: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/index.cfm?revi... morei notice you that a lot people also have x1 prototype with 256MB RAM right now like xperiancer, the unwired ect make their review on website...
q, 08 Oct 2008First review not so goog about the speed: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/index.cfm?revi... moreiam not sure they used final product but i knew they used x1 that has 256MB RAM with new ROM, it is nearly final product but in final product has 384MB RAM with the latest ROM..I will prove it that they didnt use x1 product next week...
First review not so goog about the speed:
"The idea behind the X-Panel is solid, the execution less so. Much of the information is shown in duplicate (in some cases triplicate) on the screens which feels a bit unnecessary, but our main concern is the speed. It takes a few seconds just to open the X-Panel, another few seconds to open the media library. Most of the other screens pop up quickly in low-resolution mode but then are locked from use for yet another few seconds before the high-res version kicks in."
that's pretty sad...
