All tomtom GPS's are widescreen and that's the way I like it.
Why should I have to go in to settings to change it (if I can) to view video in landscape when I am paying around £500 - £700 sim free for it.
Let me put it this way, would you spend £20k on a car and be happy to wind up/down the windows manually?
Apart from the outside design of this phone and maybe the batt capacity it has nothing going for it compared to the competition. Don't get me wrong I really really like this phone but not enough to buy one.

The phone dose NOT come with a accelerometer, so you cant view anything on this phone in landscape in less you open the keyboard!
for example if I put tomtom on it I have to open the keyboard to have is landscape and if thats the case how are you meant to keep the phone in a car mount with the keyboard open?
or
if I want to view videos in widescreen can this be done with out the keyboard opened?
not having a Accelerometer is the main reason for my to go with the HTC Touch Pro over the X1 as it adds a whole new interaction with your phone like the marble game and things like turning the phone down on its face to silent a call, or shaking the phone to change profiles. etc etc .

i emailed 2 retailers, they both said X1 is expected to be on sale by end of this week! hope it' true!

And as for ascelometer it is built in for sure, so i don't see the point, that auto rotate would not be anabled...

One future that kills the X1 for me is the lack of Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. Unforgivable considering the competition.

cmon, the k800 vs N73? n73 was more packed.
the k850 vs the N95, lol no contest.
the new c905 vs the N96, again, no.
in fact the k700 was the last phone i can remember which held its own against the likes of the 6230.
SE are just incapable of producing an all-in-one handset, and even when they "specialise" in certain departments, they're still poor! the cybershot range for example are a joke! the photos are washed out and the video quality is pitiful! and when it comes to walkman, you cant even just plug in your own headphones, you need long adapters and the sound quality is very mediocre!
im sorry, it annoys me!

I just put the Xperia X1 theme on my P1i with Gdesk.. MIND BLOWING!!!
Those 9 panels on the standby screen make my P1i look like a X1!! The default crappy standby of UIQ/Symbian looks so dumb compared to the 9 panels. Everyone with a UIQ3 phone (P990/W950/960/P1/G900 etc) should try it out!!!
