Just placed an order online for the black version at a discounted rate of $875!!! I'll post my mini-review over here once I get it.. hopefully before the end of next week! Bye bye P1i. Hello Xperia X1!!!!
I just have a question, does enybody knows if the x1 has a TV out option?
Anonymous, 06 Oct 2008why is it taking so long for this phone? 1.Actually SE can announce the x1 in july but still this phone will be sold in October
2.There was a agreement between SE and HTC,SE must announce x1 at first in february before Diamond and touch pro.
3.X1 that used in February was not finish product (only 30%) it was just to tell you what the x1 look like and not to tell you about a date to sell x1 but a innovative device news’ it was the same as Playstation 3, sony announced PS 3 two years from the date to sell ps3.Developers need much time to make final x1 product it’s not like to make a candy but a premium device
you can say what you want, but SE is late with the X1.
SE officialy announced (10sep2008) the launch date be 30 Sep 2008, but there is not one X1 to be seen in the market up to today. and please, dont call it stragedy, no business will follow such a stupid stragedy.
maybe there is another problem?
Anonymous, 06 Oct 2008Prove that it's slow, prove that WinMo on Xperia and WinMo in general sucks, and prove that 65... morei notice you that you saw x1 prototype..yes x1 prototype is slow even very slow but you cant complain this phone operation speed before the final product in your hand, in the x1 prototype used 128MB RAM with old ROM sofware but now x1 prototype is much faster than before with the same RAM amount and new ROM sofware...you must know in the final product x1 has 384MB RAM with the latest ROM software so you will realize how fast the x1 is then...let the final x1 product to prove it..there is no x1 prototype that use 384MB RAM out there...
Anonymous, 06 Oct 2008Tsis phone will be a shame from SE, slow and expensive with crappy windows mobile and 65K of c... moreFor those who wonder why the Xperia X1 not 16 million color screen, the answer is quite simple.Windows Mobile supports simply no better screens with more than 65,536 colors. Even though the manufacturer that gives the unit a screen with 262,000 colors than the screen will never show more than 65,536 colors.
Well I've been without a mobile for at least a month (damaged my N95) because rumour had it in a moth thos phone would be out. Well I'm going to wait it out, their is no other alternative for me....good things (X1) come to those who wait..so I'm waitin.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2008well in my opinion SE announced the x1 very early.. now users expectations are sky high so SE ... moreYeah, I'm tired of waiting, but not looking for alternatives. I'm still waiting for Xperia.
You will never know when will this phone be released. I have spoken to 2 representatives from 2 different major mobile companies in Dubai and both of them have strong friends working at SE. One of them said that it will be released this month and the other said it will be released early next year!
So the bottom line is you will only know that it has been released when you see it by yourself in the stores. My advise dont wait for a date just keep your eyes open until Jan 2009!
Anonymous, 05 Oct 2008If you don't like X1, hate SE, tired of waiting, please hurry buy other available phones and s... morewell.. it is not exactly about nagging or whining.. it is that when the phone was announced in feb the features were overwhelming now the same features are available in almost all phones out there.. therefore the competitive advantage through features is defeated... which means loss of a potential market (users who are not SE loyal) this is just my opinion
well in my opinion SE announced the x1 very early.. now users expectations are sky high so SE must relase the x1 as soon as possible and flawlessly as an apology for the early announcement otherwise the phone will be received in disappointment.. and also i guess many users are tired of waiting and are looking into their alternatives.
