indra, 29 Sep 2008on xperia has 2 systems but combined that means you can use these systems at 1 time..when you ... moreFirst of all there is a clear difference between 16M and 65K. Be sincere and tell the truth! I have a BB Curve with 65K and QVGA res. I also have a Nokia N82 with 16M and QVGA res. It is brazenly, blatantly obvious that the N82 has a more colourful and pleasing screen. The eye can differentiate far more than 65K colours. Read the scientific journals!
Secondly, the screen may sound great on paper but "in vivo" it is too small (cross sectional area) to read internet pages comfortably. Try viewing the whole width of this GSM Arena page on the SE X1 without scrolling sideways. The print will be too small! It is obvious that Nokia's E90 has the best solution: a high res 4 inch screen. That is what SE should have done with the X1: implement a 3.8-4.0 inch widescreen. Internet interactions would have been a joyful experience!
Thirdly, the best keypads at present are Nokia E90 and HTC Touch Pro. Each of them has a five row keypad which includes a separate row for numbers. Therefore both phones are highly adapted for speed typing. SE X1 has the archaic four row keypad which will not be as fast.
Fourthly there are further signs of aging. Let us face it, 5MP cameras are now the standard on high-end phones. Don't dare tell me that this is a business phone. It is an all-in-one. SE made clear the all rounder status by implementing camcording at VGA, 30fps.

Dear Indra.... Thanx a lot for your help and info's... The Xperia is really a cool phone... I've been using symbian, osx of iphone and many others but when you start using WM you can't go back to any other os as WM offer so much and loads of possibilities and app... Symbian too has lats of apps but they are not as professional and helpful as WM ones... But for touchscreen os, the iphone os is still the best, i mean for user friendliness but lacks many things compared with WM... With the Panels really SE gives WM users vast opportunities... Keep it up.. Today is a great day... Cheerrrrzzzz SE fans... X1 rocks...

Looks like SE only gave illusion of this phone. HTC already launched absolutely classic competition for X1...HTC-TouchPRO. Its cool.

I don't know what SE is doing...

Here in New Zealand, nobody even knows about X1. I want to buy one as soon as it comes out.

When iPhone launched, people were waiting for it in the queue, because let people when it will be launched exactly.

New Zealand is the first country in the world iPhone launched, because we see the sun earlier than anybody on earth. I think this not gonna happen for X1.

Too bad. This is a great phone and going to be launched by I-D-I-O-T-S and not many people know about it.

Therefore, they are not going to sell many of X1. SE should fire their marketing guys. Useless...
