Who is Johhny X?(please explain i`m so curious)
What about the actual price?any thing official?
can`t wait any more look at HTC they still hadn`t announced Touch HD officially(so far i know)and it`s supposed to be available by the end of this year(shame on you SE)
WHYYYYY is it that the HTC Touch HD got a 9.0 in every category here on Gsmarena and the Xperia is stuck with an 8.8??? I dont even like the HTC!!! Whyyyyyy, is it that good??? i dont see the need for the HTC HD to have such a high rating!!! Well if its that good i hope the only good thing it does is that it helps to lower the price of the Xperia!!
James, 16 Sep 2008for gods sake!! when the hell are they gonna release the phone.. been waiting for ages.. the a... moregsmarena rules
Please read earlier posts as this question may have been answered before...!!!!!!!!!!
I know that this phone is one of the best out there in the WindowsMobil category. It has the best screen resolution out there yet. The only downside is the 3 megapixel camera, but It is still OK. Consider the VGA video this rocks! Finally Sony are doing good.
for gods sake!! when the hell are they gonna release the phone.. been waiting for ages.. the announced it in feb.. still no news.. what't goin on.. i need a new phone.. tired of my n95 8gb.. anybody sitting on release info?
Probably the best phone to be released in 2008.
To everyone who complains about the phone's price; when you consider the phone's specifications, the price really isn't much at all if you are the type of person who will actually give most, if not all of the features good use.
Messenger, mailing, 16GB music library, internet and a decent enough screen to avoid the frustration you would normally go through while writing documents on the street combined with what seems to be a great keyboard and battery life really does fulfill my needs.
Considering this phone is in the same price range as a cheap laptop, brings me to the conclusion that I would choose this phone over an average laptop any day, mainly because this fits into my pocket, and a laptop doesn't.
well, saw NOKIA TUBE in movie THE BLACK KNIGHT .. hmm .. nEways .. Xperia baby .. waiting fo u !!
I can make my WM device have similar a UI to a s60 Symbian-not that I want to but it is possible with software like spb mobile shell.
I agree. The webcast was a complete waste of time.
But what shocked me most about it, was how slow the X1 was. Screen rotation took ages when he slid open the keyboard.
the webcast was touted as the first "in depth demonstration of the X1"
they weren't telling us anything new!
and agreed, Who The F CARES ABOUT JOHNNY X?, why not giving us a peek of the pre-installed softwares, or the camera features, or even some hidden tricks instead of those crap about Johnny X?
OMG the webcast was lame.
Q&A time wasted w/ obvious questions, eg "Does it have handwriting recognition?" Seriously, there's been like a year to find out what WM6.1 Pro _includes by default_.
At least someone asked if it has a JRE (confirmed).
Otherwise nothing else we didn't know and plenty of "It's up to local market partners to /charge what they think/bundle content/start selling the device/" answers, which we've all heard before, I dunno, perhaps a MILLION times before.
PS: The first bit of the cast sucked more so. Who cares about Johnny X? The director guy even said it was Bourne inspired *cough* ripped off *cough*.
The world best phones ever release………….
hope the xperia is available in big amounts in uk not have to wait till next shipment

Does Xperia X1 stream media online? e.g. Youtube, NASA or any streaming site? What all media player does it supports?
Anonymous, 14 Sep 2008What are you talking about??Windows Mobile has some excellent Media player.Coreplayer and Cond... moreAkbar is right in asking about windows,,in other words symbian users like me for years are interested in the platform but its multimedia side always lets it down,,BUT,, now thats improved what would you say to a symbian user to bring them to the windows platformm....I am looking to this xperia as a refreshing change and something totally different and use it as a learning curve just like i did symbian all those years ago...I also retain the cam/video/mp3 qualities with this xperia but what about txt on ppc i will have to find out when i get xperia but symbian texting is long winded and slow,,symbian feels stifled sometimes and even the today scren looks cramped and unclear yet pictures of ppc show it a lot clearer..Iam going to enjoy this experiance..
