I agree. The webcast was a complete waste of time.
But what shocked me most about it, was how slow the X1 was. Screen rotation took ages when he slid open the keyboard.
I agree, for the most part the webcast was a complete waste of time.
the webcast was touted as the first "in depth demonstration of the X1"
OMFG
they weren't telling us anything new!
and agreed, Who The F CARES ABOUT JOHNNY X?, why not giving us a peek of the pre-installed softwares, or the camera features, or even some hidden tricks instead of those crap about Johnny X?
OMG the webcast was lame.
Q&A time wasted w/ obvious questions, eg "Does it have handwriting recognition?" Seriously, there's been like a year to find out what WM6.1 Pro _includes by default_.
At least someone asked if it has a JRE (confirmed).
Otherwise nothing else we didn't know and plenty of "It's up to local market partners to /charge what they think/bundle content/start selling the device/" answers, which we've all heard before, I dunno, perhaps a MILLION times before.
PS: The first bit of the cast sucked more so. Who cares about Johnny X? The director guy even said it was Bourne inspired *cough* ripped off *cough*.

heaps nice phone !
nice !
has anyone got one?
China's clone of the Xperia 'The SongLive X1' is selling for only US$145 it has an uncanny resemblance to the SE Xperia X1 including a slide and tilt display, QWERTY keyboard plus TV chip and dual SIM card slots but beware because it falls well short of the Xperia x1.
thanks brynn
another question>what about the transfer speed of this kind of memory card?i used to transfer a 150Mb file in less than a min on my late W950i!but that was internal memory!
what about this one on a USB2 port?
And does the X1 come with any memory(included)i don`t know how any one
should know!!!
Thanks in advance-->
its ironic how i've waited for this phone since february.. and now i dont want it anymore because of the high price

Anyone getting an Xperia should check out XperiaX1.net. A nice little community for the X1!
akbar, 14 Sep 2008listen guys i really like this phone i like the whole pannel interface and all but the only th... moreWell Windows Mobile interface you will only see 1% of time, when doing settings and stuff. Othervise you are alway inside some application, wheater this will be panel or any other application you will start from panel. And one more thing, you realy can't make windows like Symbian, cause Symbian stile is minimalistic, that is why you like it, but if you do that, than you miss a loot of features, settings, etx.
So it is your decision many features or simple phone? If you just call, camera, browse, that Symbian is for you. But if you use remote desktop, MSN Messnger, and LAN and such things, than you need WM, i use those thing and Symbian makes me very limited...
