its a big and bulky phone i think. it should only be for business use only. it will only be available on o2 and possibly orange. i tried it out and it had a lot of things missing compare to the sony ericsson G900. i give this phone an 8.9 out of 10.overall an okay phone. available in england january 2009.
Revenant, 10 Aug 2008I wouldn't bother too much about this new Nokia super-dooper phone - it'll prob'ly be the same... moreI generally wouldn't refer to a Sony Ericsson phone as being 'typically Nokia' or relating it ot the N series....
well this phone will come out this year 2008 and the other SE phones like G900 and G700 are already out so probally this phone will come out this September 2008 and about the design this phone has cool design it's slim and made out of steel which avoid it from being broken and about the features well it's terrific it has a 3G that runs 7.2 Mbps and it has also Wifi and Edge and this phone too is built-in GPS receiver and built-in GPS function and the battery don't drain easily bec. this phone has a battery life that is almost 1500 which is long battery life and what I like the most that it has a Qualcomm MSM7200 528MHz processor so probally this phone will perform well and fast...
ian, 09 Aug 2008I heard that, Xperia has been released in Hong Kong. Is it true? perhaps SE still hesitate to release the phone, bcos this phone allow to use microSD. I'm still waiting for the phone...

i was a UIQ3 user(oh no more symbian)
Seems a strong smart phone ready to be used as a powerfull working machine, the main problem is the sad fact that Sony Ericsson will never place it out for us... duuuh

in dilemma, 11 Aug 2008i wonder if SE is delaying this model because they cannot still figure out how to solve the ex... moreObviously there is some sort of a contractual agreement between HTC and SE, as HTC helped developed the X1. In plain words it means that HTC will get a head start to launch their Touch Pro. So, look out for the launch of HTC Touch Pro, only then can we expect the X1 to be released.
Also, in my opinion, the X1 and Touch Pro is very similar, except the X1 got a far better screen and battery, for starters.
Kicha, 11 Aug 2008The design is very nice. Battery backup and talk ime is good. 1. Weight has to be decreased... moredo u really understand what the modulation schemes are and about, i guess not thats why u are asking to increase GPRS speed, which is 2.5G and this phone is equipped with UMTS+HSDPA+HSUPA 3.75G with 20 times faster speeds for uploading and 40 times faster for downloading then GPRS
