Remember the p910 the professional tool that easily out preformed nokia's,samsungs, moto's and so on It's been so long since SE had a device that beat all-comers but here it is The xperia x1 is the crème de la crème in the cellphone market
it looks awesome ! I got the W960 since a few months and I'm pretty happy with it, but I am already starting to plot how to get my hands on this one, as soon as it's released ;) Only, what is up with the 512MB storage memory ?! In comparison with what I got now - 8Gb - it feels a little less than what it should be.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Most likely AT&T. They showed it in action and one of the panels had the AT&T logo. Also saw a video of it where a guy was answering questions about it and he said that the phone was running on AT&T service for the demo.
it is going to release in september, apart from this 1 nokia is also going to release its n96 within the same month.

This phone looks slightly odd in comparison to SE's normal designs...Kinda like Nokia's new S60, replacement of iphone. Its too long which makes it look more like ipods and stuff instead of a phone.

is anyone sure about the 1700MHz frequency?
the specs on SonyEricsson.com say it has it but the white papers for the phone say nothing about it.. what do you guys think?
i want it for T-Mobiles upcoming 3G on 1700MHz in the USA

On the manufacturer's website, the Xperia's specs include 1700MHz 3G compatibility along with three other frequency bands. I've got TMobile too, and I didn't want to have to switch carriers to pick up this phone. So don't worry, everything should work out. Now, if only T-Mobile wouldn't be 2 years behind with their technology...

does anyone know if this phone is going to have 1700MHz or not? because in the U.S. T-Mobile is coming out with 3G but its on the 1700MHz not the common 2100MHz.
LoNeLy, 26 Jul 2008how exactly does the GPS work?
can you use the GPS without internet connection or data use?... moreYou can use the GPS any way you like.
The data service assistance ist optional. You can simply install the navigation software of your choice and use it as a normal navigation device. The only thing to keep in mind is the rather unusual display resolution. So it's adviceable to check wether the software can run in 800x480. I've seen a video of Co Pilot running on a X1 beta device and it worked fine.
