good point brynn.Java games are easy to resize with the aid of software I can even do that on my ppc but I can't see how qvga windows apps will work on wvga screen.Maybe there will be software to force wvga output.I might be wrong but I think a toshiba model has a wvga screen so it's not like the x1 is all alone..hmmm
On the white papers the video record options are wvga as well as vga so as to fill the whole screen in landsape mode..
Their is a lot going on inside the xperia but will all windows apps be supported at this widescreen resolution and will games have to be rewritten???
I think the design is uncluttered and the qwerty keypad clear to read plus the screen res also makes it pin sharp to view info..
Dani, 24 Jul 2008Thats a walkman version of Xperia!
now that will be awesomesorry to dissapoint, but that Xperia-Walkman phone is just a concept created by a member in Esato.com
So, that phone is fictional.
Why don't you check Esato.com yourself?

I could do with an explanation if someone can answer,,,,,
The xperia has 256mb ram which i understand but it says 400mb internal memory and 512mb storage memory...
So does this mean the xperia has 512mb memory of which 400mb is for the user or does the xperia have;;;;;
512mb memory and 400mb of memory seperatly???
If anyone can clarify thanks,,,brynn
having seen i900, diamond, N96's 4-16GB memory, (8GB being the bare min. norm)
SE is probably back to the drawing board, negotiation tables with flash mem. suppliers, and market repositioning meetings, to replace their planned 512MB storage...that is causing the delay. 1/2 GB will be a big joke! or well ..$200 less than Omnia & Diamond. Having been beaten by Samsung in market/quality/branding leadership in LCDs arena, can they, Japanese afford to be second again, or be seen to be cheaper than Samsung (koreans)/HTC (taiwanese)?
what version of the X1 do i need to have to work on T-Mobile in the U.S.? o.O.. i live in south CA
You all keep complaining here of the late release of the Xperia or rather you all complain about the expected release date in September is to far and that you all are fed up and what not. Well let me say to you folks that that not gonna help. If you want something done where do you go? To the root of the problem and the root here is SE. Why not flood them with all these questions on the Xperia and bombard them everyday with emails on the release date? That will sure get an answer and probably when you get that answer you can come here and discuss it ok??? Geeeeeeeeezzzz ;)
