HTC has many years experience in Windows Mobile before release Diamond.
Samsung has many years experience in Windows Mobile before release Omnia.
Sony Ericsson never experience in Windows Mobile before release Xperia.
I think how smart SE is, they can't make a miracle in Xperia. Sorry, I can't hope to much for Xperia.
Mike, 16 Jul 2008Just a thought....I cant see anywhere on White Paper, that this "very priced" unit have a "BUIL... moreYou're wrong about GPS. As you could see in the review on bengalboy.com you can use the integrated a-gps without the dataconnection assistence. In that review the X1 ist tested with Co-Pilot.
the n95 may be a brick but it's a very clever brick that kinda revolutionarised mobile phones.
it got other phone companies off their back sides.
well clearly not SE> they still produce featureless phones
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970NO !! Wait for Xperia or HTC Touch Pro
ar even for an TEGRA phone if u can behaive urself
i want this phone!! it taking so long!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!! whennn??? this gonna be a W960i, it was announced around the same time as the xperia and wasn't released till December!!! sigh!!!!!
Don't rush SE, take your time to get this phone right (don't be like NOKIA with that original brick N95).
The X1 definitely has all the bases covered with it having hardware keys, optical joystick, touchscreen and a hard qwerty keyboard.
Perfect Xmas present to myself!!!!!
why we waiting for this phone ??? I don't think this phone coming out soon or later
Just a thought....I cant see anywhere on White Paper, that this "very priced" unit have a "BUILT IN GPS RECEIVER"...So, my guess is that this unit is only a "A-GPS" unit. Maybe, they lost it, together with the 1700 band radio. And if I am right, my guess is that they can "STICK IT" !!. In the end it will be just a very expensive toy, witch will be outdated any way, by HTC. I am tired of waiting anyway and I think off Touch Pro, or Bold 9000. Is a very good chance that they will worth better the price.
ben s, 16 Jul 2008my s/e w900i had a status LED and i loved it because it made it seem alive,,i know that could ... moreIt DOES have a status light... FOUR of them, in fact! Each corner/side has a disguised multi-color LED that shows the status of the phones various features. Most windows phones have a status light at the front/top, but the Xperia is nice because you can catch it from almost any angle.
Sel, 16 Jul 2008Althn omnia is on way i would like to re-inforce a few points before u rush out & buy one & wh... moreWell said SEL thats exactly why i am hanging on for xperia..The omnia is a poor mans xperia but if there was no such thing as the xperia then i would be buying omnia or touch pro..
The sheer power of windows pro with panes and qwerty keypad plus all of s/e top stuff like cybershot,,walkman and typical s/e battery life all under one hood with a steel shell must be this years fone of the year..
Lets hope they get it right and all working as in no p990i fiasco
Althn omnia is on way i would like to re-inforce a few points before u rush out & buy one & why a wait 4 xperia is better...Better battery, huge screen resolution and slimmer with super cam/video,.walkman audio player
my s/e w900i had a status LED and i loved it because it made it seem alive,,i know that could sound daft but have read the xperia has one too,,is it true thanx

I'd say the Xperia x1 has all bases covered with it having hardware keys, touchscreen and a hard qwerty keyboard. If you wish ,you can use/navigate applications using just the hardware keys.

like their pros and cons and otr stuff..
Anonymous, 15 Jul 2008Yeah but Nokia are making a touch model to cash in on the 'numpty' sector.Touch sounds good bu... moreIf touch UI's are so undesirable, why is it that most of the top-end phones and now some of the mid-range phones are really pushing touch UI's? Almost every review of the iPhone you see goes on about how much of a dream to use the UI is. I honestly would hate to go back to using a phone with button based navigation, touch is just so handy...
