Maybe its just some people, who knows. But to say the very least that texting with your fingers on a touchscreen is slow isn't right haha. Just depends on your taste.
Not awkward at all, since most people are switching to touchscreens now.

Well, the Touch Pro is surely a closely related device, but there are a few important differences which would make me prefer the X1:
- the curved slide makes the X1 easier to use with the QWERTY keyboard
- stronger battery
- a little thinner (16.7 vs. 18.1 mm)
- 800x480 display is probably better for browsing, etc.
- video capturing in VGA
BTW: I just read on bengalboy.com the X1 has got TouchFlo functional in its lates beta-ROM. :D

The garmin nuvi fone,,samsung primera and plenty of other devices are on the way plus 8 megapixel mobiles but not one reaches the xperia for features and certainly not for size or battery life.The mobi-fone is due out just before xmas where you buld the fone to your liking adding bits on like lego,,but still the xperia has a small footprint with oustanding battery and who needs 8 m/pixels its best to have 2 m/pixels with superior optics

for the love of God SE, don't be so lame, better release C905 instead against N96.

I know SE will release this very soon this month because HTC is releasing their touch pro next month and its is exactly the same specs and if not looks better. So if Spony Snooze then it will loose $$$ so don't worry it will be out soon or take htc as an alternative option. and you know htc made the sony and sony just made a different interface that suppose to look better thats all IMO.

this phone is taking so long to be released!!!! Everyday i go on youtube looking for the latest videos on this phone and sometimes end up watching old ones!!! i want this phone but its disgusting how long i have to wait!! i will end up in my grave waiting??? I LOVE THE XPERIA but... please release!!

It's a good spec phone but whenever SE are involved you just know the problems wont be fixed anyway who needs or wants touchscreen?its just awkward can't txt fast n fingermarks all over the shop!copy paste,remote pc apps surfing all tasks a better with keypad in short get a n-series n leave this to the half dozen or so numpties with to much spare cash

if its good or not ,if its expensive or cheap I don't care anymore I waited so long for it almost 5 months I bought diamond 2 days ago and really nice only battery is little weak

my name is ahsan and i m an experienced user of sonyericsson phones....and after reading so many opinions on this site i think XPERIA had already maked his value and importance amoung people and thats called teasing.....but its better to wait for something good.......!
i hope now many nokia and HTC users will switch to Sonyericsson....as SE is damn good..

Hello,
Iam a huge fan of Sonyericsson, specialy the X1. Simply because it is perfect, as in it has everything i need.
However iam still waiting for a date of release. I tried sending e-mails to the official sonyericsson website and ask the sonyericsson dealer in my country. and yet every one keeps giving me fauls info.
I mean it is just a mobile, not a secret mission !?
When is the release date of the X1 and i would appreciate an approximate price please.
