Anonymous, 12 Jul 2008Windows mobile is hard to figure out, yeah I know it offers way more than symbian but remember... moreI am agreeing with this person that windows is alot harde to learn than symbian..Altho i am going to get this unit symbian for which i have used for the past 5 yrs is a lot more simple..I am ready for the challenge tho but could do with a bit of learning is their any basic sites with a good overvue of windows 6.1 pro or good free apps site...I am learning from pda essentials at moment which is a good mag for me but was always heavily written for windows ppc rather than symbian,,palm, blackberry,,linux etc..
What i am doing at moment is going thru the last 20 mags picking up tips and software but it is 100 % more difficult and a lot more grown up and mature than symbian.. I am in no way saying its bad its just a lot more of a learning code and from reading about 20 hrs of web pages from allover people praise it as the most advanced platform with apps in there 1000"s whereas i thought symbian was very flexible and cool..

But x1a, diamond and pro have implemented some... moreNot sure about the improvements in SE, usually all have the same bugs and limitations for the same chipset used, if one manufacturer will find a way to write good video drivers for a chipset then the others will copy and reverse engineer the code and get in the same line.

But x1a, diamond and pro have implemented somewhat partial video acceleration. Their chipset is also different and none of these 3 are capable of recording vga videos which x1i can do @30fps

But for some reasons, they have dropped this band. Check out the revised whitepapers of x1 for further details at developer.sonyericsson.com
Windows mobile is hard to figure out, yeah I know it offers way more than symbian but remember not everyone is a tech freak.Xperia x1 is a cell for nerds.I've got an e61i and its good n you don't need to be einstein to work it
Can anyone confirm if the 3G frequency stated here in the specs is correct? I read somewhere else that it will have the 1700/2100 needed for the new t-mobile 3g. Thanks
Great thing about WM is you can customize virtually everything.Install spb mobile shell + necessary files and you can have the same UI as the diamond.I've even seen WM7 UI on a tytn!
ADT, 11 Jul 2008Does it have WiFi?Yeah.
It's got wifi.
Bestest fone there is
Windows Mobile has over 20000 applications so you'll find one for virtually anything..

What a fantastic all-round device this promises to be. I can't believe how far mobile phones have come in the last 3 years!
Will this have a feature where SMSs from certain people are made invisible upon receiving them, and you need a PIN number to see & view them. Now that would be a nifty 3rd party application!
furthermore the WM handsets that jam are the ones that have 64mb RAM 128MB or over and they operate far far better

ok i´ve been googling and reading different blogs, forum and other stuffs. And it seems that its a bit confusing about the realease date of the xperia. One rumour says the realease is in the mid of september or late of 2008, and another says realease is in feb 2009. So does anyone know the exactly date of the realease?
