For EVERYONE that wants to know : This phone is meant to come out in Mid-September in the USA for 700-1000 dollars.

Now to explain all the madness going on here with all the iPhone f.r.e.a.k.s getting ticked off cos a way more powerful and good looking phone just came out and other random ticked off people.

        1. I think 65 thousand to view isn't bad. Think about it. Think of all the main colours like
        -Red
        -Blue
        -Green
        -Yellow
        -Black
        -White
        -Orange
        -Brown

Now think of how many shades of those colours you could need to view, maybe 50. Now times the number of colours by the shade. 50 x 8. I will just pull out a calculator from my brain (cos im smart enough unlike other people) and the answer is 400. 400 colours. Now just to make those colours even more detail by giving each of those colours an extra 20 shades. We just got a picture that had 400 colours on it and made it 20 times more detailed and it still doesn't add up anywhere near 65 thousand colours. Sure we may be able to see 265 thousand colours but most of them are just minor shades of others and you can't even see the difference between many. In nearly every aspect, there is NO viewable difference between 65 and 265 thousand coloured devices.

        2. Seriously, Whoever thinks that Symbian apps are better than WM apps has either never tried WM apps or likes little wussy under-achieving apps. With a processor like the X1's, all the already awesome +20,000 WM apps will run more smoothly than ever. Oh Yes, This phone also has Office Mobile and it is sync-able to Word, PowerPoint, Excel and even OneNote 2007.

I'm not forcing anyone to like this phone. I'm just clearing the mess that everyone is making by saying things like "Oh, doesn't this have Pocket Office" and " The iPhone has way more colours than this" and "Symbian apps could beat WM apps in a race"

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970there is no "better" phone! it all depends on your needs. both phones have their ups and downsides.
here are just a few, by far not all:
                    X1:
                    + less wide (52.6 vs. 62.1 mm)
                    + better display resolution (800x480 vs. 320x480)
+ qwerty hardware keyboard (much better for messaging)
+ a lot off 3rd party applications for WM available
                    + stronger battery
+ card slot for expandable memory

                    iPhone 3G
                    + thinner (12.3 vs. 16.7 mm)
+ lighter (133g vs. 158 g, which are both on the heavy side)
+ probably better touch UI (though not yet comparable, as there is no final version of the X1 UI out, but it will most certainly be faster)
                    + tv out
+ more memory on board (16 GB vs. 400 MB)

So it's really up to your needs and no one can help you there.

Regarding the performance of running the interface you will be surprised that Omnia will beat Xperia. Lower resolution means faster interface. Also the processor from Omnia is faster then in Xperia. The reason they haven’t released yet this phone maybe the sluggishness and the bugs of graphical drivers. Qualcomm chipset got renowned for its problems to have bad drivers. The higher screen resolution the better, but just if you have enough power to process it otherwise the phone will get clumsy.
