We are clearly can identify one thing that SE give more concentrate the end user's satisfaction.
Well, it's really a good challanger to the iphone and confirm it will beat that. Cause it has so many features that what we want, what we like, what we pleasure and what we need. I feel XPEREIA X1 must be a cool & user friendly gadget. Thanks SE.
guys I do hope you all know that no phone can have it all. There are the positive attributes and also the negatives. I believe this is a good move from Sony Ericsson and we should believe that there are better stuff to come in future especially with increasing technology and innovations. It's rather too early to start speaking down/bad on this new device
Brick, heavy 145g, only 65K colors, very slow Windows Mobile 6.1, no TV out, no xenon flash and a high price of $899USD...SE do you really think to beat any competitor with those specs and expensive price??? I don't think so! Big deception, i was waiting for a REAL ALL-IN-ONE from SE!
GSM Arena of late have stopped gazetting my posts but anyway let me keep trying!
It is clear that SE in a desperate bid to maintain market share have borrowed many Nokia concepts in this device eg 3.5mm output for headphones; green and red call and end keys; microSD card slot; VGA 30fps camcording etc. So those castigating Nokia should desist from that because it is evident that phone companies borrow from each other.
The Qualcomm processor which this device houses has not been pushed to great extremes. Its former dwelling the HTC TyTN II did not have a WVGA screen and the video drivers were not enabled. SE X1 on paper will test the Qualcomm MSM7200 processor. I hope it delivers because the contemporary PPC user craves for fast response times and smooth reliable operation. To pull it off, SE will need their best technicians working on this phone. Toshiba produced a similar phone: the G900 but had many problems with it.
I must say it is courageous of SE to pack WVGA res into a 3 inch screen! Yet it is a thin line between courage and folly. They better make certain that this SE X1 functions well otherwise HTC, SE and WM will have egg on their faces because thousands of irate businessmen will be pelting them with raw eggs!!
...i seriously trust the acceleration prob will b fixed,n m reli lookin 4ward to havin this along with ma N95,den m fully done...was finkin of gettin the ifon,ba hey d tyn z a dushbag, shud b gvn the dushbag fon of the year.lol.
this phone doesn't look very nice on pics. I have seen the video and I was surprised. It is nice. A little bit Slower that the nokia, though.
yeah, screen is ok just camera could be 5mega,wvga resolution is pretty standart somwhere and will be soon in europe,it's much much more better then ordinary one, if nokia starts with wvga 3''screen their battery will be 1kg weight
yeah but this is from N82's list.
- Push to talk
- Voice dial/memo
- Built-in handsfree
^^why write them down? all phones have those things..there not written down on other phone specifications.
why Handsfree written there? its pointless everyphone has it ! same with Voice dial/memo ..
and look at the X1's Specs list.
X1 has more features then that. and GSMarena hasnt written them down.....!
think about it
well yeah, maybe T9, etc are useless but almost every phone has it... -_-
16M Display doesnt make it a Good Phone
does it ? NO!
This X1 has soo much better things over N95
there more important then a 16M Display
anyway GSMarena hasnt even written half the features of X1 on its specifications list and if you look on Nokia N82 the list of Useless features 'T9, Notebook' etc..
this website is Biast.
SE X1 aficionados keep going on about its VGA screen and how it will show VGA recorded videos at VGA res because it has a WVGA screen.
May I point out that neither HTC-the makers of the phone-nor SE have ever produced a phone with camcording at VGA,30fps. Companies such as Nokia did all the hard work in proving to the public that one did not have to watch substandard QCIF video on a phone. They gave people the chance to watch VGA,30fps video on their phones. Although the screens were only at QVGA res the results from phones such as the N93 and N95 were better than any other, and gave satisfactory results. It is an insult for touts on this thread to deride Nokia when they were prevalent in the struggle to bring VGA video to the masses. SE is an unknown quantity when it comes to camcording. For years they churned out substandard camcording in their top phones. It was infuriating. Now they have suddenly decided to be reasonable. Let us see whether they will enable the video drivers to facilitate smooth viewing.
Neither HTC nor SE have produced a 3 inch WVGA screen for a phone before. So yet again we are in unknown territory. Nobody is sure whether they can make this device run fast, reliably and smoothly. We can only hope that they thoroughly test this phone before launching. I am wishing that the SE X1 becomes the great performer that it is sporting to be for it will truly raise standards in multifunctional phones to a new and better level.
