SE is a great company, but i didn't trust them on the date of release.. if they look back to the history of their products announce they will find that they are losing lots of ppl caz of the same reason(remember the p990) it take almost 9 months after the announce day and almost a year delay to be in the middle east AFTER the announcing time.. don't know the reason but thats the only thing i take it against you SE...

s60 is dumb - thumb based. It was never designed with qwerty or touch in mind- at the moment its some kind of build up of ideas which came with time = chaos.I'm happy SE have finally chose to use Windows Mobile on a top end device.

I have a N95 and will sell it as soon as this Xperia comes out!Yeah it may not have 5mp camera or 3D graphics engine..but thats what mt digital camera and psp ps3 and xbox are all for!Believe me the N95 is not all that..but unfortunately like many others I thought it was till having it for quite a while now, maybe if it had touch screen and keyboard it would be better but for now its on its final days till sony releases this new toy for me.

to Tsepz It's not just about modding it's about having the option to fix firmware faults without having to wait for the manufacturer.Yeah you can change camera drivers etc but usually it's something simple such as increasing touch sensitivity. With Symbians you can't change drivers or much at all

I will go for this phone Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1..... My nokia N73 is suck, poor battery life and Symbian is slow. I send my phone to Nokia Singapore for repair last year, the phone starts with Nokia for 1 month, and everytime I get back my phone, I return the next 24 hours. I have an argument with them as they make me go down 4 times to service centre. In my 3rd visit, I know the cause of the problem, but they denied changing battery for me and make me come back the 4th time. In my 2nd visit, they install Nokia N73 Music Edition firmware in my Nokia N73 phone, what a shame on them. No more Nokia for me, Symbian can never beat Microsoft OS.

X1 will beat all N-Series hands down.

Reasons:
1. Its smaller compared to most of N series.
2. Nokia is yet to release an N series with touchscreen.
3. Nokia's Symbian is a memory and battery hogger. I hav seen people frustrated with their N series mobiles, though they buy it only to show off.
4. The keys are relatively bigger, well spaced and stylish. Keys in N series are crap.
5. None of the N series are stylish enuf to compete against a SE phone.
6. Cameras on mobiles shud b used only for casual photos. If u want a better pic, use a digicam, not a mobile. Havin 5MP doesnt mean a great pic.
7. The animations in X1 are far superior to the staid ones in N Series.

SE needs to maintain a high-end image for X1 by havin a high price. Else, all tom-dick-harry will buy it like N series, which hav becom phones for those who dunno how to buy a gud one.

I am a SE fan. I was thinking of upgrading from my walkman to a phone with more professional style with features required for a business. My thoughts were on HTC mobiles though now i hav forgotten HTC and am lookin forward to X1.

X1 has all the features i need like touchscreen, 3MP camera, qwerty keyboard, WM OS large screen, superb form factor, less weight and surely eye catching style!

The only thing i hate is SE's delay in shipping mobiles. Dunno how many months i hav to wait for this!

Duh. E90 over X1 with that? People might not need a WM device but with the advantages of a WM device over symbians(X1 is great on multimedia too), id rather get a WM device even if im not a businessman. This great device has everything, a keyboard and a touchscreen for a real multimedia and office phone. Plus the fact that e90 is so big and thick and will not ever be supported by nokia as a gaming device even if it has great graphics. Duh. I own N95 8gig and will happily switch to this.

LMAO! At teens, shopkeepers, unemployed etc. . .owning Nseries devices, what are you smoking? Lol not everyone needs a WM device, ACTUALY MOST people don't need WM, especialy if they are not into modding and messing around with the reg. why take a WM if you don't need all that when you can take a Nokia E or Nseries depending on what you need.
I'd rather take a E90 over the X1 simply because E90 has 3D Hardware Acceleration, hi-res screen WITH 16million colours,a bigger screen (4inchs), and the other Multimedia advantages it offer like high quality 3D gaming, if any of you have seen that E3-Demo will know that E90 is capable of near to next gen gaming, truly amazing graphics.
The X1 looks amazing though, but in my opinion this is NOT what SE are capable of since the X1 is being produced by HTC so this to me proves nothing, what will prove a point about what SE are capable of is the next P-series phone.

The HTC Sedna benchmark results show the Qualcomm CPU is a mighty piece of kit.I guess all the doubters will have to eat a lil humble pie.SE have pushed the boat out with the Widescreen VGA display and WM6 but and I add not before time this is Sony Ericsson back to doing what they do best:High End devices that can cope with high demands.N-series,samsungs lg's etc will still be purchased by the same ppl..teenagers,shopkeepers,hairdressers,the unemployed
