some 14 year old, 11 Dec 2009does winmo6.1 marketplace work alright? can you download panels from the x2 to the x1 like the... moreYes you can access the market. But I never shop for applications there. If you head to xda-developers forum there are alot of information of applications and useful stuffs you can add. I just get all my stuffs around the recommendation of xda and the HTC community. Since HTC platform is the same as X1 due sony ask HTC to make the X1's.
But if you are really shopping for phones now, I will suggest you to get the new snapdragon 1ghz phone that is coming out on January, or even consider the Samsung Omnia Pro B7610. Those are way better than X1 due to better processor power!!

User can have it Enable or Disable, this might be the case with you.
WinMo is a big system and like a friend said if you don't know how to work with it, any device with WinMo (or perhaps any other big OS) will cause you strange troubles.

some 14 year old, 10 Dec 2009just wondering can you upgrade to winmo6.5 and does winmo6.1 marketplace work alright?I tried the custom ROMS for WinMO6.5. It is not much of a difference from the latest winmo 6.1 pro i got from Sony updates. WinMO 6.1 is good enough, and dont eat as much as battery as compared to 6.5 from the way I use it. I reverted back to 6.1.

Any phone that you dont activate key locks before putting in your pocket will have all your problems that you are experiencing! Your compain is not valid at all.... I fail to see this complain to prove that the phone is not working right for you. Clearly something just to bash about this phone.
I have this phone and patch it with the latest winmo 6.1 pro latest release from Sony US. My phone had been running great. If you are not a tech savy person, any winmo phone will make you hard to use and balance.
just wondering can you upgrade to winmo6.5 and does winmo6.1 marketplace work alright?
I wouldn't recommend the X1. As a mobile computer it does ok but the screen is a bit small. As a phone, it's the worst I ever used. Volume goes off when I put it in my pocket so lots of missed calls. When an SMS comes in - phone turns on the touch screen so if its still in your pocket you dont know what its doing.
Always missing calls and making calls itself.
I hate it.

The pictures seen in this article are important as it seem there has been a visible design change made to negate the cracking on the back.
People whose Xperia's have cracked, can they confirm which design did they have?
I was reading it on symbianword about X1's build, before you go for complete reading here is a quote.
Looking at the N96 you’ll notice immediately that it is made just out of plastic. There are no highlights such as a metal batterycover (like we know it from the E66 or E71). However, when I received the X1 and had it in the hand for the first time I was really blown away. It is made mainly out of steel. Besides the keys and some parts on the back everything is in nobly and stylish metal. After using the X1 several days I switched back to the N96 and as you can imagine the N96 felt like a toy compared to the X1.

About the case cracking issue, why isn't Sony Ericsson doing anything about it???
Why haven't they officially confirmed or denied it???
Why haven't they replaced the plastic case with a full metallic one to stop cracks from recurring???
Why are they still selling this handset???
Don't they have any concerns for their consumers or responsibilities for their products???
