having problem decide X1 or X2?

Xperia X1 is the best phone you can get in hand now. It has all the functions needed and multiple input options(touchscreen, navi pad, optical pad, qwerty keyboard). stylish looking phone with quality material built.

X2 is no much of an upgrade consider still using the same processor as X1 and no radio.also X1 design > X2 imo.

It has lots of application and games as it is using windows mobile. The best of all , it has large modder community which bring whole new xperience for X1( winmo6.5, Touchflo 3D)

However this is not a simple phone for simple usage.
Its rather complicated and take time to fully utilize its offered.

ihave read most of these comments and i think i can offer some insight into this phones viability.

for tech savvy users, expecially those who love to customise their phone through upgrading roms and radios, the xperia has to be one of the best phones made. multiple input methods (navigation keys, optical joystick, touch screen and QWERTY) make this phone unbelievably easy to use. the browsing experiance is simply excellent (opera).

however, if you're after a phone that requires no tweaking, then perhaps winmo is not the os for you.

se's contribution to winmo is what makes the phone so much fun to use. xpanels is awesome! each one transforms ur phone into a hardcore multimedia device. but winmo drags itback down, making it feel primative at times.

id recommend winmo 6.5, as its touchscreen menu seems much more finger friendly.

i would say it's a brilliant phone, but i dohave a love hate relationship. stick with se standard os, or nokias e series symbian for professional use.

If you have to choose between SE Xperia X1 and HTC Diamond 1,which one is the ideal pick? Would be glad if you can list out the pros & cons...

I liked this phone at first especially the keyboard....however for me there are just too many features, no one can possible use all of them! Although this phone apparently has lots of memory it isn't and can become extremely slow especially when turning on. Also the back cover is awful, as it is metal it can scratch easily. After leaving in your pockets (usually with other objects e.g keys it gets easily scratched and looks very tacky). Don't buy this phone.....too complicated and slow and touch screen buttons too small!!!

Igor, 23 Nov 2009bluetooth and wifi wont work well together (bt looses signal when wifi turned on). Any suggestions?Actually thats not a problem with the phone, its with wireless and bluetooth as both of them work at the same frequency of 2.67Ghz. and due to that there is interference which is universal

loved the phn in the beginning (dec 2008 )but dissapointed--inner shell of poor quality(cracking--batt cover loose), outer casing cracking, bluetooth problems, night photos quality poor,, numerous user complaints on ''X1 Cracks '' site (unofficial SE site)---a very expensive handset,,,sony could have done much better ----- I'm dissapointed in SE for not recalling the 08W44 range/units,,,,don't think i'll ever go sony again

to make WiFi and Bluetooth work together, you have to Flash xperia Radio to a newer version.
take a look at xda-developers.com to find it.
There is also a lot of user created Xperia ROM which can improve your experience with X1 and you will never want to replace it

If someone gives you one of these phones give it back, they are rubbish, the sync system is a mess and causes many duplicates on your Outlook system which have to be manually cleared.

I'm considering picking up an X1 but will like to know if its Windows Mobile can be upgraded to the latest version? What is the maximum expansibility of the external memory? Thank you in advance.
