but I see it is getting discontinued?!...

Great phone. Windows is a bit of a pain, but its email functionality is excellent. Confirgured outlook as well as gmail within 5 minutes. Had some problems with GPRs settings, but that is more of a network issue. I love the look it has.
Only downside is the black coating seems to scratch quite easily

Hi I'm new to all this & was looking to see if some more experienced users could help me!
I'm now on my 5th handset (will be deliveredtomorro)as there's been something wrong with them all - rattling, txts not in conversation order & not downloading, loose screen, call function not working properly, not down loading & now poor battery life & warm handset!
Anyway my boyfriend has the iphone & he updates his software can us xperia users do this too & what does it do?
Where is the best place for applications for us as he gets lots of fun stuff!
Also can anyone suggest a good browser as i try to upload pictures & it tells me i need a better browser!
Sorry for the questions i know i have a good device would just like to get the most of it!

I have been using the phone for 6 months; the X1 is a gadget that should be owned.
Advantages: 1) Panels feature is unique feature that distinguish the phone from others.
2) Internet Speed, browsing and usage is extremely fast.
3) Touch screen is super sensitive and captures finger touches correctly.
4) Camera is good (Although I expected better job from Sony !)
5) Typing on the keyboard makes you go on and on
6) Usage of solid material to manufacturer this phone.
Disadvantages: 1) Occasional undesired reboot (approximately twice a month)
2) Camera is really slow in taking pics (it takes approximately 5 seconds to take a picture, and you should keep ur hands stable)
Overall:
the phone is one of the most brilliant devices, it lacks nothing and it is very customizable to ur needs. you will never feel board from this device.

Hey nima thanks again for the reply.....my phone is quite new so i do have the guarantee.....i have a dell still it has this problem...by the way i checked on google and a lot of people face this problem that they cant send files from their computer to the phone...it shows the same error FTP service not found on the target device.....and my start menu becomes full of recently opened programs so i want to remove a few how to do that.....plz help...

basheer abudhabi, 03 Aug 2009is x1 fit for youtube video?Yeah. When you use Google, it asks ya if you want to update. When you do it gives you a Youtube button. I've viewed youtube a few times on mine & it is all good.

Really good on both phone calls (I had a W800 previously)and music. Camera is ok, but I had to change standard shot mode to sports, otherwise it got a but blurry sometimes.
Not sure on price for you. But I really like this phone.

Bought the phone and it is awesome. I guess if ya want to get all nerdy about specs, operating system, blah blah blah, some people will have something bad to say about any phone. But, as a phone I think it's great. It looks cool, easy to operate (once you get the hang of it) and, you can even call people on it. Imagine that.
If you would like a cool phone your friends will envy, this is one that would do it! My partner and mates are green with envy, awesome!!!!

i have the same problem...
and does your Xperia X1 have guaranty?? if it doesn't,you can install the Energy ROM with WM6.5 its wonderful and it doesn't have recent program...))

hey thanks nima......the link was quite helpful......im facing one silly problem....when u open any program the list of recent opened programs appears in the start menu.....how should i clear them from the start menu......and also when i transfer files from my pc it say FTP service not found on target device......i turned on the beam but still nothing happens....plz help....im a new user...

excellent and stable except there is no accelerometer and it's need more strong camera and the shape of X3
