Bla, 23 Mar 2010"THE BAD: and the landscape keyboard doesn't work in the messaging app." What hey... moreThe landscape mode is available for composing e-mails. When it comes to messaging it's only available in portrait mode. Kinda reminds me of iPhone. Except, iPhone's virtual keyboard was barely even available in landscape. Not even e-mail.

WTH? Whait, wth? They actually are priceing this thing over desire and don't have landscape keyboard in messaging? This must be a joke...I really hope the SE is not thinking that we are morons. If this is true even if its gonna be upgraded with holographic mind projections of shiny stuff, this is very rude to even think they can setup to the market with this. Suck.

Samer, 23 Mar 2010Hello Guys, three things that stopped me from thinking about buying the X10, keeping in mind... moreDude, no ofense but if you turn your head to an apple product then its a major step back. I would rather have a X10 with whatever bugs than any Iphone. Don't be cracy by supporting that brainwashing company. I would rather have a mobile phone from the 80-ies with the briefcase than the iphone. I mean I would rather have pidgins to comunicate with others than using that stupid device.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hi Samer,
The engadget.com is a great review (thanks for the link), however they do themselves finalise that pending an Android V2 update date (which will come), and a bug fix for the virtual keyboard (which you might expect in a pre-release model), they would take this over the Nexus One.
As the review says, any company that tries to aggressively skin a mobile platform is going to have issues, possibly major ones, on its first iteration.
In this case, they have a minor issue (2% of keystrokes are missed), of which I'm sure would be resolved with a pre-release update.
Personally, I'm very much looking forward to the release of this phone, although after being patient for this long, I'm happy to wait a few more weeks after release to let any additional bugs be resolved. I'm sure they would have announced V2+ release date by then too.
This all said & done, I’m also looking forward to the HTC Supersonic announcement, supposedly later today. Another 1GHz Snapdragon Android phone (4.3” screen), which will definitely be worth a look at.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2010SE X10 fans we have a lot if you are disappointed Moto Droid, Motoroi, Moto Backflip, Motorola... moreDude, we are a little bit disappointing here, how could you come and telling and offering us the things that make us sadder...

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The same idea. The X10 is not worth the hype...
three things that stopped me from thinking about buying the X10, keeping in mind that i used to be a sony ericsson fan and waiting ever since to get the X10 is :
*GSM arena Review
*engadget review http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/22/sony-ericsson-xperia-x10-review/
*and all you guys in this forum.
Bye bye for good this time SE and hellp Iphone 4G
Just read the engadget review. Disappointed.Scratch-resistant surface is not so resistant apparently. Plastic materials. Poor keyboard input. The plus is screen size, camera, media player and battery. Keyboard can be software fixed. There is an also a problem with poor refresh rate of the screen. This can also probably be fixed in software. The laggines of Timescape I doubt can be fixed because if you don't start it for a while it has to scan all the changes on startup and update the "Spline". So basically you have to use it every day to have no lag in it. Naah, build quality feel is also not so good as HTC as stated. So basicaly the Desire is top notch for an android device. It only has an average camera but lets wait the tests of Desire. And desire is much cheaper(still asking question why is x10 so much expensive, what justifies it...)
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2010Something tells my Engadget's review unit wasn't updated to the latest software. The swedisch site says the same thing about the on screen board. This is the retail version i know for sure
Probably engagnet had a model with older SW as they stated and presumed in review. But still I'm disappointed and hope the final release will be different. Also they have confirmed my thouth on TimeMediaUI. Defintiely to much focus is put on that two functions as if they are something very special. It's a nice addon(which is in Sense UI resolved through few widgets) but the big mistake maybe because all on the phone is customized to run TimeMediUI flawlessly which appears for now its not.
Mr Brightside, 23 Mar 2010Some real bugs in the review mentioned by Engadget. A dealbraker for me...Something tells my Engadget's review unit wasn't updated to the latest software.

A dealbraker for me...check out droiddog's review on youtube:
No hint of lag on the keyboard, in fact it seems incredibly responsive.
I've also never seen any hint of lag on any other recent vid of the X10 either......
