Anonymous, 23 Feb 2010RAM (Random Access Memory) is volatile memory, meaning it is cleared when the unit is shut off... moreWow, you explained those things clearly!
I am the true Mobilemastes, from my own device.
Anonymous, 23 Feb 2010Can any1 tell me on an average how many apps can be installed on a 256 MB RAM,since android do... moreRAM (Random Access Memory) is volatile memory, meaning it is cleared when the unit is shut off/rebooted, or when a program is closed down. Information gets stored in RAM only when the programs are running. If you get a message saying "Not enough memory" or something similar when loading a program, it's because there are too many programs using your RAM. Usually closing down, one or more programs fixes that.
ROM (Read-only Memory) is non-volatile memory, that is difficult (if not impossible) to change. It contains the base information a computer (or phone) needs to run critical processes.
You don't really use either as storage...at least not permanently. RAM is more of a Cache to be used by programs to function. ROM is there as a backbone...tells your device what to do when you power it on.
You will have to focus on the Onboard Memory (storage capacity) if you want to find out how many apps you can load. In the X10's case, you're looking at 1GB. Although, like a computer hard drive, the actual available space can vary depending on the configuration of the OS. You'll probably be looking at around 800-900mb of available storage space for apps.
Considering many of the apps on the market are less than 1MB...that's a lot of room. ;)
good idea to buy a 800$ device from a company without any resources for further development.
6 month from now EVERY new announced android device will have a front cam.
SE 2010, 23 Feb 2010Who the hell is the real mobile master now??Who is the true Mobilemaster? I told my Ip's are Lax1, Laxc, Laxy, Laxd! And every Tuesday I can write from my high school comments. :) And the IP is MVE4. :) Only these are my Ip's, so don't worry. :)
Others are only bashers(my opinion)
In all pictures you can see it has a secondary frontal camera, for video conference, it was initially in specs. Though the hardware was probably created, it was removed from specs the secondary camera, probably due to lack of software; it is a shame, it looks that SE doesn’t have resources for software development.
SE 2010, 23 Feb 2010I heard its going to be around 600-700 dollars. However, I'm not 100 percent sure about these ... moreohhh :O.. fvc, 23 Feb 2010It seems NOKIA continues to emulate X-series of SE by releasing another X-series after NOKIA h... moreIf nokia or anyone else wants to play with Xperia X-series of SE, let SE expands their Xperia line up, they should release: Xperia N8, Xperia N98, Xperia E55, Xperia Constellation, Xperia Damascus, Xperia 4G, Xperia eXpressMusic, Xperia 3310 (to the most powerful Xperia phone), Xperia Prism etc.
i would like to ask you the differences between android and Microsoft Windows Mobile Professional? which is better and the reason..i don't really understand about this and i need your advise.thx
Anonymous, 23 Feb 2010Can any1 tell me on an average how many apps can be installed on a 256 MB RAM,since android do... moredont worry its android not symbian so u dont need much memory because there are few applications that worth downlaoding and no games with good graphics......
Can any1 tell me on an average how many apps can be installed on a 256 MB RAM,since android doesnt allow for downloads 2 memory cards?I know this phone has 384 MB RAM, but Id jus lik an average for the earlier mentioned RAM.Also is RAM and ROM one and the same or are they completely different?
It seems NOKIA continues to emulate X-series of SE by releasing another X-series after NOKIA has released X3, X6 and this time is Nokia X10 (just like the SE XPERIA X10) despite SE is the first one to use this X-series i.e. XPERIA X1 & XPERIA X2. I think SE should drop the X and just use XPERIA, e.g. XPERIA 12, XPERIA 20 since the word XPERIA (followed by a number as a model code) is more than enough that it is SE phone (this is only my opinion guys!!!!).
NOKIA should use MX or ME since NOKIA pioneered music express and music edition name for their music phones just like SE's walkman phones. I don’t want to say anything bad against NOKIA but I just don’t like it (currently I’m using Satio, P990i, iPhone & Palm Treo …. Next is XPERIA X10 that’s for sure, I can wait until its release but I don’t expect X10 has no problem at all because no phone ever is perfect out-of-the box, but I expect X10 to be a new kind of Xperience offering its unique, flashy, rich 3D graphics User Interface particularly the Timescape UI, plus a beautiful design.
For those who are always saying in this forum that release of XPERIA X10 is already delayed, SE is very clear that this phone will be available Q1, again Q1 is until March 31, 2010. I would like to think that SE is working very hard polishing the UI because a lot of people has a very high expectations with this phone and we are aware that SE is struggling financially, so SE wants X10 as their approach to regain their lost glory. I believe 2010 onward SE is ready to give their best fight with their competitors with the announcement of Vivaz, Vivaz Pro and the X10 minis. Well, let’s just keep our fingers crossed if there’s a “miracle” for SE (I hope so) to fix their financial difficulties.
Release on march 3rd (confirmed) in my place (Neraka)
SE X10 normal price: usd 740
pre order before 28 feb: usd 695
normal price: usd 669

They will loose these N70... N80... N90 series, and they will start with C5, N8... they started with X6. :)
