A quick look at the Xperia X10 for those who are new with this phone:
--The first thing that caches our eyes is the nice and sleek design.
--And the huge shiny scratch resistant screen! TFT capacitive touch screen at 4 inches - 854×480 pixels. Shows 65k color, but it'll show 16m color after OS update because the hardware is capable of showing 16M colors and for now it’s limited by android 1.6 (Not to mention that even with 65k colors the screen looks really good)
--Then the unique and beautiful UI! The Mediascape and Timescape (performance has got better after the latest firmware update )
--An excellent 8MP camera that is FULL featured, autofocus, LED flash(but it remains photo light until OS gets updated), touch focus, image stabilization, geo-tagging, face and smile detection (it can recognize up to 5 face to save their picture between previous taken pictures from those people or under their contacts), with WVGA at 30fps video recording, and after OS update it'll be an HD recorder!
--3.5mm audio jack & micro USB port and 8GB memory card included, officially supports 16GB but 32GB memory has been successfully tested on it!
--384mb of RAM and the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.
--Android 1.6!! but it's still great because of the SE custom UI (for example it can transfer files via bluetooth unlike so many phones with 1.6!) and it'll get android 2.1 plus with UXP upgrade in Q4 2010 (September) maybe a bit earlier and then it'll support flash too! And the greater news is that SE has promised to update the X10 through its life time!
--And the build quality is excellent! It really feels great and comfortable in hand.
AND, of course no phone is perfect and this phone has some lacks too:
--No front camera (like some other devices with android 1.5 or 1.6) but video calling is possible by using Fring
--No multi touch (SE is working for an alternative and we know that it has “1 finger zoom” feature)
--No build in radio(on the other hand it has MW600 with radio and brilliant audio quality and you can enjoy listening to music or radio, 10 meters away from your X10)
--No DivX and XviD video playback
--Average loudness for loudspeaker (but the audio quality is excellent)
--Earpiece seems to be a little weak
As GSMArena says, Most of the Xperia weaknesses are hardly deal breakers and most people could live with them, don’t underestimate the amount of hard work put into the X10 during the long manufacturing process. The delay was definitely worth it :)
thx for your answer guys :)
i also want to ask again is this phone signal very good?
Anonymous, 25 Jul 2010Htc desire umm no,X10 okay btw htc vision ahem somebody promised to gift it to me,thanks a lot... moreLucky you :D You got someone to gift u...wish I had someone to gift me a phone too :( ...but its great to have u on X10 forum and always proud of u..tc cheers :)
a handy device worth buying it at high price. seems to have launched before time, I mean several issues with keyboard and applications execution. better touch screen but muti touch is more friendly. bettery life is the best if you can manage to charge it faster with blackberry bold charger.I am not sure that upgradation of os is coming and can resolve smaller patty issues of a classic hardware.

[deleted post]You dont need to tell me. I look at the facts. Number of Iranians who moved to Canada last year, 90,000. Number of Canadians who moved to Iran, 0.
Phoenix, 26 Jul 2010we're just able to buy unlocked phones here, no provider...So the people of Iran can buy a cell phone, but they are not allowed to actually use it? Seems kinda mean.
Phoenix, 26 Jul 2010yeah me too, thanks :)So which provider do you use, Government controlled cellphone company 1,2,3 or 4. LOL But seriously who are you with?
Phoenix, 26 Jul 2010lol there is nothing to be sorry about, we might have 3G next year, there is a rummor about it... moreI actually think that would suck. I remember using 2G like 3 years ago, quite slow. I hope 3G comes to you soon, and then 4G comes to you even faster than 3G did.
Canadianman20, 26 Jul 2010Honestly I didnt know why. I mean it seems every country, even North Korea has a 3G network, I... morelol there is nothing to be sorry about, we might have 3G next year, there is a rummor about it.
any way thanks for considering mate;)
[deleted post]Honestly I didnt know why. I mean it seems every country, even North Korea has a 3G network, I just assumed every country did. Im sorry.
come on guys, act civilised! we're not the enemies of eachother, these are just mobile PHONES! it's not worth ruining our personality and bringing it to a really low level!
we're friends here, and we're not here to choose what company is the best! it's abvious that it's not to us and there is no point in argueing about it.
everyone has his/her taste, respect eachother and enjoy the life.
thanks for your attention :)
Good: Screen, Design, Camera and many more
Bad: Call Volume, Android 1.6, Lack of good calendar, battery life
This is a fantastic smart phone with a few Cons as listed in the Bad above. Battery life is really bad as it drains out the power so quickly. Default calendar app can only show a single current month, Call volume is is very low.
