guess my 2 mbps internet and processor is faster than my HDD and I'll charge through PC till the next update comes out !
after using xperia x10 for month iam to conclude that:
-xperia user interface is the best.
-its cpu is fantastic
-loudspeaker bit low.... but medium
-earphones are good. volume is good bcoz u want an ear-friendly volume adjust. udont want 2 hurt ur ears.
-battery capacity low. after day,s use.its battery finishes(excessive use)
-the in-call volume is bad. u cant hear well. also there is no voice cancellation system.
-xperia is a powerful andriod. u can update the phone so, its well plan device
-video quality best..... qvga, wvga@ 30 fps is quite well.
-looks are dashing
-media/timescape ui is wonderful....
camera function rocks....
-camera key is stiff.
-light weight mobile.
IN ALL ITS A OVERALL PHONE.. MUST BUY.

i am back with anew problem. plhelp. i have internet in x10. when i log to market, it says problem occured during connection. it is same with maps etc. but i can surf and download through browser. whats going on???????????????????????/

btw if it still persists ...i would suggest you take it to sony center...its not suppose to happen the way its happening with ur phone.
Ravz, 11 Jul 2010try reseting your phone to factory settings from phone settings :) I've done factory reset through SEUS a couple of times, but the problem is still there,If I charge it through USB i have no problem, and this problem has raised only after updating to the latest firmware,,should I take it to the SE service center or should I wait for an update in firmware ?

PS: this was with old firmware and with new firmware you're battery life will increase further.

just browse the file you want to rename...click on edit and then click on rename and simply rename the file.

well renaming without using a an app is google android 1.6's limitation .

but the thing is, its not gonna happen very soon...u might have to wait till jan next year...
but mean time it might be possible that someone will get a root access to the phone not the OS level rooting but to the boot loader...so then you can install the stock android 2.2 on your phone without having to wait for SE to release it for x10.

brynn, 11 Jul 2010i upgraded from single core 1.6GHz comp with 1gig ram to dual core 2.0 GHz with 4 GIG RAM and ... moreYup there is hardly any difference...although having a dedicated video graphic card of 1GB and 4GB RAM even on a single core machine will do good :) if ur using a 32 bit OS...then no point of buying any additional ram as 4 GB is max a 32 bit OS can use.

I do agree the in call volume is low but R2BA023 has fixed most of the issues...and its lightning quick even if the OS is 1.6.
But I believe you must have gone through reviews before purchasing it...so u were well known with the issues and the fixes available...

Like I said after big lost money returning my X10 to s... moreWell if you think that phones can be error free, then I think you'll get your eye opener soon even with samsung galaxy s...not saying galaxy s is gonna give u error, but it is certainly not bug free...probably if you visit their forum you will know..One buys Android phone as smartphone coz he loves technology and wants to try out things which he can't do with another operating system...u know the freedom, so if you're not willing to fix your phone and expect it to be resolved on its own or by the company from factory itself..don't know where you heading, then smartphones are not your cup of tea ..there isn't a single company which has been successful from the word go..they all release bug fix...take the example of apple..
im sure this phone won't suit everybody but criticizing it and not willing to resolve it even if the fix is available at the same time is unexpected.
