Hello dear X10-owner-who-have-battery-issue,
I deem it important to share with all of you my findings in regard of poor battery, actually in regard of how to improve its performance.
1) Buy yourself another micro-USB charger. I do not know the reason, but the one which came with the phone does not do the trick (read: does not work with my following findings). The one I bought for example is Nokia charger.
2) Download from the market an application named Battery Indicator. Its a application, which shows the percentage of remaining battery, but also unplugged time, temperature and voltage of the battery.
3) If you are charging the X10 with your NEW charger then do not unplug it when the charging indicator in the upright corner of the phone turns of and the Battery Indicator shows 100%.
IT IS IMPORTANT that when your battery reaches 100% and the Battery Indicator says "overvoltage" keep charging until the "overvoltage" disappears. It takes approximately 45 minutes until the "overvoltage" disappears since the battery level has reached 100%.
Other thing I have noticed that leaving the phone charging for too long (f.e for a night) makes the battery drain faster. Thereof, it is important to disconnect the phone practically immediately after the "overvoltage" has disappeared.
Doing according to the above said has improved my battery life a lot. Before discovering such way of charging, I had to charge my phone in every 24 hours (I use GPRS a lot for playing World War and iMobsters). No I can do with one charging approximately twice as much :)
Also I use TasKille (not Advanced Task Killer or any other similar programs). I find TasKiller to be most effective (but it may be a matter of taste as well).
And those who use GPRS a lot, an application named APNdroid is really useful. When I am not using it, I can turn it of my tapping on an APNdroid widget on home screen. And when I need it, I can just as easily turn it on again.
I hope that you find the information useful :)
Hi SE fans,
I have been in interesting discussions with one of your fellow X10 lovers, and I am having a very hard time understanding his inconsistent reasoning and lack of hardware knowledge.
So, I have come here, to ask you some questions about this device.
1 Is the CPU fast enough to prevent any lags or stuttering that I have seen across so many android devices.
2 What timeframe do you think you will get Android 2.2 and 3.0
3 Does anyone have detailed benchmarks of the Snapdragon 3D performance. Even though the clockspeed is high in the Snapdragon, the GPU is relatively weak. Has anyone tried some very taxing games yet on it also?
Thanks for your answers!
please tell us if ur problem of low volume got rectified or not.
[deleted post]Phoenix is a SE fan like me, and SE 2010! I don't know why many people talking about him. Probably because he left the forum since 30th of May. Maybe he was tired, I hope he will return, with SE 2010 too tomorrow, or today.
except the touch and d camera thers nthng gud in d phone.i think n900 is better
Yeah seems the forum is dead.....
Let me share few important points of X10 which may help you to think about it in
better way…I will be mentioning problems and their appropriate solutions to fix them:
à Battery Life – Major problem??? Not really.. I used to face this problem but its not a majot problem though. Multitasking ability of xperia is so smooth that you dnt come to know about number of apps running in parallel. Here are the apps available in market that will help you to solve this issue.
-Power Save Mode – I dntknow wht it does but trust me switched it on and ur battery last for few hrs more..
- Advanced Task Manager – It prevents unnecessary apps from staring up when uboot the phone. Also you can browse for apps running in background so u can kill them.
- Advanced task Killer / Task Killer – Awesome app… just click the widget and all the apps get killed at one go.. Exclude list works pretty well… U can set the option of killing all unnecessary apps when u locked the phone..
It’s logical ..more the apps running.. more is the Processor and Ram Processing and ofcourse more is the battery consumption…Killing the apps is most practical way of saving the battery.
Rest all the options like brightness, 3G, facebook connectivity depends on User….
à Act 1 Video Player – Play the videos in full Aspect ratio (Full Screen)
à Freedi Youtube Downloader – Download videos of HQ directly on mobile.
à MP3 Download – Search and download songs..works gr8..
àZedge à Awesome Wallpapers and Ringtones Collection
à Astro Player Beta à Music Player with custom equalizer option….
àAudio Player with EQ – Mp3 player with equalizer Presets.. Only downside is demo version doesn’t play next song automatically..
Guys Android is a gr8 open source platform for customize applications…Its started after Apple has already captured major market…. But if you look at most of the major Mobile Brands like SONY, HTC,MOTOROLA,SAMSUNG,ACER etc… have already known the importance of this platform and they are using to boost their sales with the help of Android….
Please let me know if any additional information is needed to be known. Thanks.

I bought it yesterday. Price 560US$ with 16GB memory.
Good smart phone: -sound quality good,
-Video quality same as iphone one. -phone connection good. But there are some points need to be improved:
1-connection to PC is not simple as Windows Mobile ( use many step to fullfil.)
Can any one tell me how to syncronize contacts in MS outlook to the X10?

Please can you tell is there a huge difference? or slight, I want to buy a sharp 923h.
Anonymous, 01 Jun 2010Galaxy has more than things compared to X10 which we expect from a smart phone, design is not ... morelike iPhone fans, they always degrade the features that they miss in iPhone. what is important is what the user want. sometime the old stable OS is better than the new unstable one, and you can always upgrade the SW or OS, but you can not upgrade the hardware.

[deleted post]The X10 has an interesting bar code reader, has the Infinite, Timescape, Mediascape function too. And ofcourse there is NO perfect phone.
Mobilemaster, 01 Jun 2010Are you talking about the design, or about the Android version? To Mobilemaster
I also do agree that X10 gives an extra ordinary experience, something like diving
