SE put their best effort to catch the lower end market with the dumb J series, but failed, not that they stick to high end.they lost low end race, mid end is already losing to LG and Samsung. Soon the high end will find a dead end,
SE put an effort with Cybershot trade mark to catch the Camera market, failed , Walkman for music, they went as the same.Lost, Its clear that with less effort Droid hit the market better than any other Android, what ever the quality is it sells more than X10,
Motorola lost market due to poor quality they had, now they are back with high end androids,
So why is SE is not selling shrinking, people have realized it is not worth for money, just a boasted quality by its fans
Mahbod, 05 May 2010I got my x10 4 days ago but it runs out of battery, what should i do ? new battery ?discharge it a few times switch on bluetooth when u need it
[deleted post]Also, as Phoenix said, Motorola's design and OS experience is just horrible. Personally, (and I know you and most others would disagree strongly), but given an option between Motorola Milestone and SE Vivaz Pro, I will definitely go for the Vivaz Pro, even though it does not have android or a 3.7in screen. So, choosing Milestone over Xperia X10 is out of the question.
[deleted post]Please don't even talk about %age. Who cares about that?
I'll tell you a part only a part)of the reason. LG and Motorola have so many cheap and affordable hand-phones out in the market sufficient for people who cannot afford higher-end phones.
For instance, in India. You will find that the lower-end phone market is flooded with Motorola and LG phones (and also Nokia), and not even 10% (my guess)by SE phones. BUT, you will also find that not even 10% of the higher end phones which people buy are LG or Motorola phones. Almost all them opt for SE, Nokia (which seems to have quality phones in all segments)or Samsung.
And I do not dispute that SE lost some market share in the past. But, it is coming up in the mid-to-higher-end section. Show me two SE phones which cost less than $40. Whereas, you will find many many motorola, LG and nokia models in that segment.
So yeah, do not put Motorola and LG on the same platform as SE. SE is much much higher than them.

Phoenix, 06 May 2010and that 120,000 was just for ntt docomo in japan, not the whole world!!to Phoenix
Yes 120,000 in 20 days with Docomo not in the whole world!!
But Droid 250,000 in 7 days only at Verizon , inside USA
not in the whole world too
Yeah I got the xperia about 2 weeks ago, the battery life was initially terrible (not even 12 hours). Now, however, I get about 2 days out if Im conservative. I dunno, but Ive read from a few sources that the battery needs to undergo a few cycles before it holds much charge.
Im not a physicist, but it has certainly been the case for me.

[deleted post]i don't care which one sales more, what i can easily see is that motorola's UI and design is very ugly for me but X10 UI and design is great and simply unbeatable!! and that alone is enough for me to choose X10 over any motorola!
