SE 2010, 28 Mar 2010Well yes I think what your saying may be true, but still many users want to know for sure whet... moreProbably not MT (to avoid getting lawsuit from Apple) but atleast dual-touch like other Android phones (it was mentioned somewhere here if I'm not mistaken that other android phones, except for Nexus One, supports only dual-touch).
so SE 2010, when are you getting your X10? mine hasn't arrived yet and I was told it should be by monday if not the following week.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Well yes I think what your saying may be true, but still many users want to know for sure whether SE will support the MT feature or not, and SE has not confirmed it officially yet, so I guess we just must wait and see.
SE 2010, 28 Mar 2010Dear Khalil, How can you be sure that it will have MT features once it's upgraded to Andrio... moreCapacitive Touchscreen determines the position(s) of the finger(s) on the screen through a distortion of electrostatic from the finger, in other words, the hardware should be able to detect more than 1 finger touching it as long as the software supports it. If I'm not mistaken, Android supports multi-touch in 2.0 and later just that it's disabled in the kernel by default, so in a way it should be up to SE whether they want MT or not. (correct me if I'm wrong)
Khalil, 28 Mar 2010Xperia X10's screen HARDWARE is capacitive which means it supports multitouch,
It's SOFTWARE ... moreDear Khalil,
How can you be sure that it will have MT features once it's upgraded to Andriod 2.1 ? I mean do you have any evidence on that? I would love to believe that but since SE didn't confirm it, I just think we should wait and see.

All you can get out of this phone is the the fancy UI,If you look features wise better look for another android.
Below average audio quality, said GSM arena, due some s/w problems on their units
Display legibility under sunlight is as good as iphone has
65k colors display is limited by v1.6 but can be upgrade to v2.1 and the display automatically will show 16 M colors and there also comes the almighty multitouch input
...sometimes GSM arena is not correct either
Motoroi means Ctrl + Alt + Del

Why do people keep asking the same questions or opinions like
1. will it upgrade to 2.1
2. 65k colors not 16m colors
3. no multi-touch
4. no EQ in music player
IF you guys dont like the phone, please dont comment.
For those questions, please refer to previous posts
Saurav, 28 Mar 2010I have a question, How is the display of the device? I know it has 65K colors, but I am coming... moreTo be honest with you dude, yes you will feel the difference, because amoled is better and the colors will always be more vivid and pure. On the other hand, you will have a larger screen and also the you won't need worrying about being outdoors because the screen will be clear in home or under the sunlight.
So you lose something and gain something if you know what I mean? And in my opinion maybe in the beginning you will be annoyed because the screen is not as gorgeous as the amoled but you will get used to it in no time. I also advice you to check it by your self to see if you like it or not, but also remember that after the upgrade to andriod 2.1 the screen will look a bit better due to the 16m colors.
Hope this helps,
shahas, 28 Mar 2010hey guys i read all the opinions of X10. Could anyone please tell me is Vivaz or X10 worth val... moreYes 100% worth value! Go for it, both devices will have full support from SE, and both devices so far are getting decent reviews and the owners of the devices are satisfied. I think both are great. I've been in the field of mobile gadgets for a while now, and I assure you that they are worth the buy.
The only reason some people would tell you not to have them, is not because it is a bad buy but because they just don't like the brand!! So it's nonsense.
hey guys i read all the opinions of X10. Could anyone please tell me is Vivaz or X10 worth value if buying now.Or should I wait till the release of android 2.1 version?
I have a question, How is the display of the device? I know it has 65K colors, but I am coming from i8910, I mean how much difference will I face with this screen and my i8910's AMOLED screen?

Can the OS 1.6 of this phone upgraded to Android 2.1 ???????it will be upgraded to 2.1 via official update from sony ericsson. then you will enjoy multi touch (pinch to zoom), the full capability of the 16million color screen (currently its at 65thousand because of the android 1.6 restriction) and full hardware acceleration (faster interface - i hope they change the image browser scrolling to make it smooth, currently theres no animation bet pics whasoever). also hope they add smart dialing, even the silliest se phone has it.
gonna wait for the 2.1 update before i buy this.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970How can 1GHz processor be considered poor specs? Cheap plastics? Did you even read the phone review before posting crap?
Anonymous, 27 Mar 2010This is not true many other phones can be compare like the King Motoroi. Look on many thinks M... moreYou must be joking about Motoroi beating X10.
Motoroi holds a regular 600 MHz processor while X10 includes the top-tier 1GHz Snapdragon.
With such high-end android phones, you'll really be missing those extra 400 MHz of power.
