its a gud phone bt how do you sent pictures to another phone using bluetooth
for uploading your old phone contacts onto your new x10 mini.....
step 1) ..dump, bluetooth, extract onto your pc hard drive your old phone contacts..they should be vcard files....
step 2) ..import the vcard file contacts from your hard drive into microsoft office outlook...they will appear as outlook contacts showing names, address, email, phone number etc.....if you have a hundred contacts it will take a few clicks because i have found no way to bundle them together and upload correctly...they must be imported one by one....
step 3) now you have too export the said outlook express contacts as a csv file and you must do this via the export function in outlook.
step 4) with the newly saved csv excel spreadsheet file you open a g mail account and import your outlook csv'd contacts into the contact section of youe gmail account
step 5) now open your x10 mini gmail account to be able to connect with your gmail account online. open the address book and sync with the gmail contacts...done !!
step 6) get a new phone !!!!!!!!
What about the FONT SIZE? Is it possible to make font in the phone and text messages bigger?
They could have increased the battery backup a bit more..
For such a good phone like this i think the battery backup is not up to the mark...
is this phone really great? is this worth buying for?
as i read all the post here there are advantages and disadvantages. but more of disadvatages, hmm? im truly stunned by this phone but if this phone sucks like battery and application i think i would not buy this. can someone post here? all that he/she experience about x10 mini and suggest if this really a great phone.... thanks pau ^_^.
People dont buy this phone, itz not that great. Infact I was so close to get this one, but then the HTC wildfire impressed me and I finally got that one a couple of days ago and I am real happy. At first I felt the battery drains fast, but u can download the task manager from the market and kill the apps and tht allows ur battery to last longer.
So go in for the HTC Wildfire, nearly the same price and much better HTC Sense UI.
I have to say it's a small phone with a big heart..i simply love it. The functionality is simply outstanding. (posted with my x10 mini)
Yb, 28 Jul 2010MY bluetooth is still not working, even after downloading the new bluetooth for androids...how... morebluetooth with other types of phones-ie non androids are most problematic even with any type of application downloaded.
I've found you can send over files but cant retrieve from other handsets.
Prab, 29 Jul 2010One more thing I forgot to point out that the bundled earphones have lots of treble and no bas... moretry inserting the earphones at different angles into ears, you will find a spot where it sounds super good!
Wrt other basic functionality, I have to agree, it is very lacking and is quite a challenge to get things set up so that you can start to use the phone. Moving over contacts from another phone is a nightmare!! Use your sim to copy back n forth cos thats the only way. the whole online google thing is a waste- you'll end up using data for nothing. I spennt abt 100Mb downloading Apps to get the phone to a point where its actually usable.
My Samsung Star had more features and a better camera although 3,2Mp. Could view documents in mails AND save them etc.
Good Luck! Samsung and Nokia still Market Leaders and for a good reason! They would have taken this handset to new heights with their marketing and basic spec offering. I Should have went with Samsung Monte
mohammed, 05 Aug 2010Hey guys for 3G this mobile is good or not pls i need immed rply see my post re phone.
After using x10 mini for a while, here are my thoughts, which would help 1st time Android Users:
-Lovely looking handset, just wants to make you want to use it
-Interface is interesting, different from the regular phones, very customisable through applications
-Camera 5Mp with auto focus and macro mode.
-Really poor battery Life, 3hrs if you're using the phone/applications etc
-Although applications are available, not all integrate into the phone's menu. Traditional OS have this part done for you.
-Camera has no settings for 2 or 3 MP or to resize pics/edit pics. Picture quality not impressive-struggles in sunlight, contrast variance too high.
-No document viewers, dowloaded apps use online rendering which you pay for in South Africa.
-Navigation is for 1 month only, thereafter its 70 euros a yr!! In S Africa that is 1/3 the proce of the phone!! SEricsson is being real cheap here! In this case rather settly for Nokia or Samsung.
If battery life was good and navigation included, it would be one of my favorite handsets.
