Venky, 09 Jul 2010Does this phone have a camera zoom ?you can add zoom with an app
Can anyone please tell me, wether this phone is available in Saudi Arabia or not? I saw x10 and x10 mini pro here, but not the x10 mini. I could not get any answer from SE or their local Dealer. Is it not going to be launched here to promote some other models? Pls reply. Thanks.
I bought this phone a fortnight ago. My experience with this is wonderful. Though small its quite capable enough to do all the jobs done by a mid-end smart phone. After having used S60V3, S60V5, WM smartphone, WM Professional I find this one quite competent at the price its offered at launch.
1) Battery is a issue with almost all smartphones - more with WinMO and Android than Symbian. 1 to 1.5 days is nothing bad.
Moreover there are lots of articles as to how to preserve battery (one of them is not to use task killers in Android which I have seen very effective in saving battery).
BT file transfer is a problem of Android OS which can be taken care of by BTFile Transfer.
Tethering is also not possible on Android by default, to be taken care of by Easytether / pDAnet etc.
This phone is pretty fast. I have loaded it with lots of apps and I use Home++ beta (as Home Screen) with lots of widgets / shortcuts. But the phone is very useable in terms of speed and snappiness.
The camera pics in daylight is wonderful. Go to "http:// www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=196313&start=105" and find out.
Sound quality is low in speakers (quite natural for such a small speaker if one has to abide by laws of physics) but sound through earphone is excellent both quantative and qualitatively.
If one has experience in using smartphones customising this phone will not be a problem but people shifting from dumbphones will have to go thrugh a no of forums/ helping blogs to utilise this phone properly.
Overall this phone is indeed a good buy for the price and will improve its performance once upgraded to 2.1 as committed by SE in late 3rd quarter.
