Sony Ericsson Android Touch UI

Not long after the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 became available, info on the impeding release and expected price of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 came up - for the UK at least. And not a moment too soon - Sony Ericsson can't afford to wait till everyone gets a Nexus One.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is expected to arrive in the UK on February 19th, with a recommended retail price of 550 British pounds (610 euro or 885 US dollars) for an unlocked handset. The XPERIA X10 is currently up for preorder for a slightly lower price - 500 pounds (554 euro, 800 US dollars), which puts it closer to the price of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2.

The XPERIA X10 is a Sony Ericsson first - both on the Android and the Snapdragon front. With a heavily customized UI running on a 4" capacitive touchscreen with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 can hold its own even against the Nexus One.

The 8-megapixel autofocus camera and the 8GB microSD card in box (up to 16GB cards supported) sound great too. For a more in-depth look, we have a couple of previews of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 you can check out.

Thanks to Raj for the tip!

not having a radio on a phone is a ridiculous reason not to buy. come on, if it is that important then go buy one of those tiny ones, costs next to nothing
