I'm using this phone for 2 weeks now. 11W10.
Got it with android 2.1 stock.
First day I switched to miniCM10 (android 4.1.2). performance did not satisfy me (lag).
a week later downgraded to miniCM7 (android 2.3.7). Performance is very good. Usability is wonderful. System is very stable.

anyway this phone is a good phone for me coz this phone falling down on the floor and and all of the cover and batter and screen still good . i think this ph is fall more than 30 time and i use this phone more than 2years. i like this phone but this phone is low momery to install app

ishan, 14 Oct 2013how to update telll me any1 can telll >>>>if you mean data..i think you can use the pc companion from SE site..but with regards to apps..i guess you have to upgrade your firmware to 2.3 gingerbread to be able to install or transfer APP files to your external memory. else 2.1 doesnt support that

hi all,i wanna know how to get full 168mb ram to use or maybe 120mb and above,currently i use gdx v31b but at max ram i got is 98mb i want get more ram btw mine is 11w49 and i cant unlock bootloader so i cant do swap file...reply me soon...1 thing is for those who know about android and using this phone i wanna say this phone is superb like a boss on every aspect..

android 2.3.7 ginger dx makes xperia x8 four times faster than stock 2.1

To anyone who is still using this phone(as I am) - go to XDA forums, find out how to root your device, install custom recovery, and boot GingerDX ROM - you will have Android 2.3.7 and the phone will still be usable for some time, because stock 2.1 is really outdated and the old Sony Ericsson android skin simply sucks. New ROM brings new features such as moving apps to SD and power widgets and all that other fancy stuff :D
