As for Globe, just use the auto download setting on the phone and it will download to correct setting for Globe Telecom for your X8 if you are on postpaid account. If you are on pre-paid, you need to change the word "internet" to "http"...
internet.globe.com.ph for Post-paid account.
http.globe.com.ph for Pre-paid account
Everything else is correct and no need to change except the APN wording in front...

fellow x8 users, may i ask how will you delete all of your phone contacts, so I will export the one i have in my memory card. the problem is once i export my contacts from my sd card it just adds up to my phone contacts. how will i do it without doing a factory reset. any help from you guys will be appreciated.

glenn, 16 Feb 2011im planning to buy x8 but where and how can i have update the v1.6 to v2.1you just need to go to sony ericson website choose your phone then download the application first to the computer then connect your phone via USB- this is faster than doing on the phone via WAP..

I have been using this phone for the last couple of months.No issues at all as far as performance is concerned.Excellent phone in this price range.
Only 2.2 update will make it better in near future..

i am using the x8 from the day of it's launch,in early day's the phone hanged frequently and had many bugs but after update the phone performs very well of-course we miss froyo but for everyday use it's a trouble free phone and even without auto focus the camera takes great pictures in sunlight. About battery backup i think no smart phone lasts more than 2 days.
When compared to latest offerings from other brand the phone performs reasonably well and the music quality is just great, here no comparisons.
I think in coming months we will have a stable froyo or gingerbread of-course fro XDA until then enjoy your phone.
