frends can anybody tell how to install android 2.3 in x8, guide me, reply to firstname.lastname@example.org
Actually, I installed Alt.V7.3, it's an excellent and fast ROM, it has ICS's theme, beautiful! I recomend it!!
And it's so easy to install!!!...
Custmoisability is ultimate for this phone, comparing itz counterparts in the same price scale. Sure, newer devices are better, in camera, processor, etc but i'd keep this phone as an archive rather than selking if i ever buy a newer phone, cz once u root, and unlock bootloader(if u can), itz pretty satisfactory..
I installed FroyoPro v2.5. Unfortunately it's impossible to unlock the bootloader on my device(for free anyway), so anything I do would have to be done on stock kernel. However, I'm satisfied with the performance. Just ditch the stock ROM and root.

WEBHEAD, 26 Nov 2012Great. Can you give me the link of JB for X8?for unlocked bootloader only
I owned X8 since two year. Now i gave it to my mom. It is still working like charm. Even touch sensitivity of display is still intact (I saw many lower range phone like samsung n LG optimus p500 facing touch sensitivity issue after couple of years). It is very unfortunate that sony does not update this phone beyond 2.1.
Battery still backup like a magic. it will survive 2 days easily after normal usage.
X8 was my first Android phone. Still luv it.
AnonD-82692, 27 Nov 2012how can i install the ROM??
For first time, its little tricky. In overview, you'll have to follow these steps:
1. Install xRecovery
2. Root Xperia X8
3. Flash Custom ROM

All these steps are available on internet in detail. Follow those steps very carefully to avoid making your phone dead. No one can take responsibility if you brick (kill) your phone.
